My hubby has been to many air shows. As he is a skeptic, he would have told me in no uncertain words that they were planes BUT HE DIDN'T.
And he can be quite mean about it. I have to be 100% sure before I open my mouth that what I am hearing/seeing/reading is unusual or I am put down.

So no not planes.

If anyone turns up from now on the sound was only heard on the night of the 9 September 2012.
Writing that, it would have been really odd if it had happened at 9pm=999.

Isn't that what we dial when we need help?? And God knows we need help.

I would be interested to hear a recording, to see if we are hearing the same sound. So I am going to keep hanging around for a while.


Hello everyone who turned up today, you really made me happy. And I have had a bad day, as I had to replace a rotting wooden floor in a shed. (I do the DIY, as I am better at it.)

Here's my video of the noises a few months ago. It was a bit like the same noise the other night, but the other night was a bit more boomy.

There are a few booms in the first few seconds, then it tails off for a bit, a few more booms etc around 34 seconds, then it continues for a bit and begins again at about 1:40, then ramps up to a bigger boom and a weird metallic slidey noise at 1:56 ish , The bit after is me getting my cat off the garage roof, then nothing really happens for the rest. Worth playing as loud as you can!
