ATS reminds me how thin the line is between genius and insanity...perfectly thin...

Just a compliment to all those balanced and imbalanced souls that contribute here regularly...

Sometimes there's more than enough tree hugging, some insanely intense fearporn, finger pointing galore, crazy ninja junky videos and I think the world just came to an end AGAIN lol....but whats the point of this, why do I come here so often??

Freedom of thought! The constant reminder that all of our opinions matter...no matter how delusional they may or may not seem to other members...we fight it out sometimes, hug it out other times...but it works out every time

This site is something special, I am glad to be here...I LOVE YOU ALL...well most of the time

No stars and flags required...just wanted to express this moment in time...

I agree, I enjoy radical thought more than centrist.

I'd say more, but I have to go take my meds and put on my tinfoil body suit before I go to sleep.

There are crazy people here?

Once I thought I was insane but the voices in my head convinced me it was just a conspiracy.

I couldn't agree more with what you said, being able to voice your opinion is a great gift.
It does piss me off that some people are always wrong but what're ya gonna dew.

What a wanderful idea op. Sorry but your getting a star and a flag from me, this is just glorius. I couldn't agree more.

To everyone that likes me, hugs and kisses, to everyone that doesn't...well I probably offended you and am more than likely at fault for it. So hugs and kisses for you also.

Don't forget the best modsquad( pun intended) on the net. You. Guys are the best, even after you delete my threads, and the other memebers awesome threads. Thanks for taking it for the team, and keeping all us crazies from killing eachother and otherwise burning down the internet. Your job is mostly thankless, but because of the job you do I am thankful!

Much respect to all of you guys

I gave you a star AND a flag cause I'm a rebel, and I'm nuts.
This is one of the very last true "Think Tanks" in existence. It is also one of the only places where you get real news in real time. Of course you have to dig through a lot of BS sometimes, but sometimes that's good.
How many among us have read someones "ridiculous" thread and immediately started fact checking them? I know I've learned about a lot of stuff because of that and for the most part this has been a very positive experience for me.
I hope some day all the insane people leave though, so geniuses like me can make their point without logic raining on my parade.

some insanely intense fearporn

Could you please explain the meaning of this.

"Fearporn" looks like the best verb ever.

I can't wait to use it in a sentence...

Tell me about it! That "logic" crap has no place here.

We need our critics to provoke us...keeps us honest...and we must do the same to others. But with respect...2 sides to every story...and we can't fly on one wing...

We are all born to our own pattern, its our duty to learn that which is hidden from us...friendly competition should always be welcome...

I guarantee "I" do not have all the answers, but I do guarantee that "WE" do....once we all accept this it becomes easier...its ok to be wrong sometimes...it allows others to help us...

In my opinion genius and insanity are all trends , meaning what we think to be crazy now might be perfectly rational in the future and vice-versa. As more knowledge is gained and new ways of thinking are accepted into society the more of what we see as normal begins to fade away and what we see as crazy suddenly becomes the norm.

Excellent post.I totally agree.I discovered this site by accident a few years ago.I was a lurker for sometime because I use to feel that I wasn't intelligent enough to join in.As time went by I began to feel more comfortable with the idea of actually expressing my innermost thoughts,so I became a member. My early posts were tentative and did not add much to the threads. But I have grown since then.I believe my posts have improved.I do know that I feel more comfortable expressing myself.Maybe someday soon I will start my own thread.Thank you for this OP,and thank you to all the ATSers for accepting me into the "family".

Do you think being "indoctrinated" happens at a more sub conscious level though ?, i mean we are all conditioned to be a certain way whether we like it or not it , the whole process of consciously accepting new ideas into our way of thinking is what I'm more concerned about.

The following has some interesting information on how new ideas are accepted by our brain and some other great info on quantum mechanics.
