Well clearly your an idiot, since Obama favors Unions and Romney would like to abolish them. So what would you like? Some work or none, take your pick. Plus Obama has tried to get infrastructure jobs for just about every state but the Republican congress has thwarted his attempts at all costs. Thank congress not Obama.

Ummm... Which NDAA did the Dems mostly vote against? The 2012 one, the 2011 one, the 1998 one or the 1988 one?

And Obama signed it into law without vetoing it. In 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

So who did what now?

We can tell how well the communists handle the economy by what happened to the price of gas since the Illegal Muslim took office.

Obama wants the price of gas to be high in order to create an environment where

Americans will run out and buy an electric car that has to be recharged everyday.

Wow, using statistics from FOX NEWS?!, that's the reason you are being brainwashed by the republicans.
Seriously quoting FOX NEWS with their biased agenda and statistics?

F&S for the OP Buster, it's dead on! Yes the economy does do better under Democrats and any intelligent person cannot argue with those facts.

On the other hand, we now have the GOP stating that they aren't going to let "fact checkers" get in the way of their campaign.

Furthermore, now that they're being laughed under the table for taking that position, some of the right-wing propaganda sites are proclaiming themselves as bona-fide fact checkers in an attempt to validate their lies.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Sorcha Faal was entertaining some very lucrative offers to become "fact checker in chief," from one or more of these self proclaimed fact checking sites as we speak.

The most recent one that authorized indefinite detention.

Obama issued a signing statement

“Moreover, I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens. Indeed, I believe that doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a Nation. My Administration will interpret section 1021 in a manner that ensures that any detention it authorizes complies with the Constitution, the laws of war, and all other applicable law.”

The fact is Republicans voted to specifically keep it...

I've listened to the DEm convention, and cannot find fault with it.

However....

There's a múch deeper problem at work here.
The electorate is angry. Réally angry, and anger clouds judgement. Proof? The mud-slinging between ordinary Americans has become grim.

It went from pokes with a wink, to true hatred. "lefties, Commies, rednecks, bible-thumpers, gun-nuts, libruls' etc. etc.Rolling over oneanother, spitting, foaming-at-the-mouth hateful, while The Men Behind The Curtain laugh their behinds off.

Understandable...búuuut.. No-one is -through their anger and fear- seeing the elephant in the room: voters have no chance to vote for something they réally belive in, UNLESS(!!!!) they can cough-up a couple of million of $ ....

Thát's the problem. the whóle election-system has been corrupted on a deep, déep level through an unheallthy, nay, críminal collusion of Corporations and Politics.

I réally do not care if one votes GOP or Dems.. I am a European, so America's business is America's business. It's nót for me to say which of the two figureheads is better for me. We got our own problems (though not as mucn in the North, where I reside).

What I am trying to say: As a foreigner, I am in a unique position of seeing beyond bickering and partizanship. I have narly a piece of skin in tne game of thrones in the US. Foreign policy towards Europe has always been basically the same under Dem- or GOP rule.

What i am seeing from my seat outside, is the blatant mis-use of ignorance, hate and fear by those behínd the curtain, through the hand-puppets in the respective sides in the debate. They skillfully manipulate the voter in a blind rage, so he/she votes for the side the Corpocrats need the most.

They pumped money in Obie when they needed more of the bail-out money. They are pumping ungodly amounts of money in Mittens, because the corporations are doing fine now, and they want regulations (they agreed to, so they got their bail-outs) killed off completely.

All-in-all it's a zero-sum game for the electorate in the middle- and lower class. No way in Hell are they able to influence politicians, if there's not an impressive amount of pecunia behind their wishes.

Money decides who wins, nót the voter. "equal representation, voting rights, actice- and passive" are a mirage, skillfully constructed by thóse that are truly afraid of an electorate with réal power.

Sadly this is an inflictionof Democracy that's already infecting Southern-Europe, and it's bound to get worse (Goldman-Sachs figure-heads as presidents in Italy, Spain and Greece really?? "I smell a banking-rat, a bíg one" )

Did ányone notice that NONE of the candidates mentioned going after the true criminals on the Banking- and finance world? And, that thóse pre-candidates that mentioned a willngness to hold Wallstreet and Tha Big Banks accountable, where more, or less, sílenced by the MSM?? Jus' saying...

I will agree that "social insurance" around the world has proven to work, however I will offer this. Medicare meaning "single-payer social insurance for medical care" is only used in a handful of places. Social Security is used around the world, however "universal" and "single-payer" are DRASTICALLY different.

The reason Medicare and Social Security is failing in the US is because of lack of payers in. AKA people are getting it that never paid into it. Most other countries DO NOT give these programs to people without contributing to the program, forcibly or not.

For example Australian Medicare is NOTHING like US Medicare. Every Aussie can get access to their Medicare, given the proper circumstances, not according to age.

Basically comparing Medicare to other country's systems isn't an accurate comparison.

Check these out.

Umm, that's not correct.

Senate vote for NDAA in Senate

Totals-Democrat-Republican-Independent
Nay 7% 3 3 1
Yea 93% 48 44 1

Not to mention...

Introduced by Sen. Carl Levin [D-MI] on November 15, 2011

And the House was just as bad...

House vote on NDAA

ETA: A repub sponsored it into the House. So again both sides at fault.

When Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State she did a speech before the Council on Foreign Relations and spilled some beans.

She said her husband created the "Quadrennial Defense Review" and cut all those military units and replaced them with a few low paid contracted workers. He also eliminated ALL the Federal Civil Service Wage Grade blue collar jobs in DOD and replaced them with a couple low paid contractors.

She then said after he eliminated all those middle class jobs it freed up money they could use abroad to buy off countries/ people.

She said she wanted to do the same thing to the US State Department. Ax all those workers and use a couple low paid contracted workers. Then use the money abroad to buy off countries/ people just like the Quadrenial Defense Review accomplished.

Democrats killed the middle class. The Republicans just went along with it because they knew they could make Hundreds of Billions right along with the Clinton's and Democrats.

Google her speech. It's on YouTube.

How did Ronald Reagan create 16 million jobs in only 8 years?

How did President George W. Bush have 4.4% unemployment rate?

I can only comment on the wikipedia-bit afa the Netherlands go. They are correct, but incomplete.

If someone's income is too low for the base-insurance, The State will subsidize via income tax. The two-tier system sounds great, until the realization that the for-profit-insurers bombard government with lobbyists to cut more&more from the base-package. Dental care? No-more, Prosthesis? Only the cheapest. Choice on Hospitals? Nope. Insurer decides where You go, by simply nót reimbursing costs made in hospitals they have no "contract" with.

Nót exactly what the founders of the system had in mind when they gleefully killed-off socialized medicine in the 80's

Oh, and our healthcare has been bleeding finances like there's no tomorrow, thanks to dubious middle-men, injected into the system after it became a two-tier system. Middle-men that were nowhere to be found when we had socialized medicine.... Nowadays management-layer, upon Management layer gobbles-up ungodly amounts of money in bonuses, 13th months etc.

The reál sour bit for America? It's exáctly the system called "Obamacare" and it Does. Not. Work! (unless You have a nice, comfy chair in the boards of the insurers)

Socialized medicine worked fine, costs and fundinf was precisely balanced (don't let anyone tell you different)until lobbyists from the insurance world, convinced the doofuses of our "purple-coalition" that it was unsustainable...

Nów, healthcare funding is in deep doodah, despite my contrubution towards it having gone up from €57.- to €146.- a month (still lów but..c'mon trípling??) where did all that money go? Yup.. Middle-men from the insurers, forcing themselves into hospital boards and such.

When he entered office the country was broke. He told all the Federal Agencies to set up Trust Funds and he put a little money in them and said go invest it and figure out how to use that to fund your needs.

The DOD military retiree trust fund has enough money in it to pay the nations retired military for 9 years right now without 1 penny of Federal Appropriations. What did they invest it in for such returns? Likely Apple/Home Depot/Walmart.

America couldn't fund Veterans Affairs, so he had them start providing healthcare to veterans for NON service related healthcare issues.....and the Government started billing their 3rd party insurance and the vets directly for meds/ healthcare. They made hundreds of billions.

He also stopped the Federal Civil Service Federal Retirements. All Federal Employees now have to pay into their own retirement and Social Security is now factored in as a majority of their retirement.

Ronnie Reagan created a boom by selling the nation out. The Baby Boomers are robbing us blind right now. They are under the pre-Reagan Federal Retirement and are taking home 75% of what they made working....plus Social Security......plus their VA disability....plus their military retirement.....plus .....well you get the picture.

Baby Boomers robbed us blind. They now have a police state to ensure you don't wake up and demand justice.

The wars haven't been payed for, we're $16 Trillion in debt. So where did the money come from? The Federal Reserve fired up the printing presses and created money out of thin air.

Bill Clinton Is Right: The Economy Really Does Do Better Under Democrats

Clinton pointed out that under Democratic presidents since 1961, the economy has added 42 million private-sector jobs, while under Republicans it has added just 24 million. He used the same concept to argue that President Obama has outscored both congressional Republicans and his GOP presidential opponent, Mitt Romney, in terms of creating jobs. Clinton has some intriguing facts on his side. Aside from a rounding error, his historical numbers are accurate (figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the tally under Democrats since 1961 rounds to 41 million, not 42 million). I crunched the numbers a few different ways to see if Clinton was cherry-picking the best numbers. His figures measure job gains from the month a president took office until the month he left. Since it takes a year or so for any president's policies to go into effect, I also measured job gains from one year after each president took office till one year after he left. Here's the score by that measure: Democrats: 38 million new jobs, Republicans, 27 million.

No wonder the GOP hates fact checking. It shows how much they fail at their jobs small wonder why they always scream Reagan created 16 million jobs.

Why don't you do some fact checking of your own? Bill Clinton never had a true surplus as he likes to claim. It was a surplus from SS that was injected into the federal budget - money that needs to be paid back into SS, by the way. It was creative accounting at it's best.

He also achieved much of what he claims to be success while both houses of congress were controlled by republicans. His success was as a result of the republican's Contract with America. Also consider, the reason why we're in the mess we're in is because of the repeal of Glass-Steagall which occurred under Clinton. I don't think we'll be putting his face up on Mt. Rushmore any time soon.
