Being in the right place at the right time to ride the wave of selling Australian minerals to China doesn't strike me as being brilliant when it comes to business.
Let's face it - she didn't make her money through her people skills did she?

I also don't think she 'rode the wave' as much as most think either. Do you honestly think she just happened to inherit the only mineral rich areas of Australia? Hardly.

She, or her team, has been making very good, very shrewd business decisions since she gained control. They have diversified and diversified well.

You don't have to like her, but I think it would be a mistake to underestimate her.

Are people skills not required in all human activities?
Australian mineral mine owners have done very well from the boom in China.
In what way has she diversified out of mining?

The entire point is that, she INHERITED $75 million; more money than the average hard-worker would make in many lifetimes. Then proceeds to say people not wealthy like her are lazy; and fit to work for 2 dollars per day. The hypocrisy, ignorance & narcissism is on a level that would dumbfound even the most simple minds. She's a disgraceful excuse for a human being -- period.

It matters a lot more than you can imagine, no people skills usually mean your company is going to go bust unless you assign the people skills to your underlings.

She should have to live on that $2 pay, and see how long it takes her to change her mind.
I suspect that $2 wouldn't keep her in snacks for a day.
Why do rich people always assume that their success is due to their own abilities rather than being down to having a rich father or being lucky?
And she multiplied that by 388 times so far.
Far better than most people do with their own money.
But, why worry about stuff like that?

I respectfully disagree.
I employ many people that dislike me. Funny thing is, they really like what I pay them. I know it is not the best way to operate, but the business I am in does not care for niceties. Hell, if my employees aren't willing to stab me in the back for profit, I really don't want them around. It is a cut throat industry, so I need to employ the best cut throats I can.
Unfortunate, but necessary in my base industry
