Largest Earthquake Drill In The US Ever.

Anyone here heard, or are partaking in, of this event? I watch US news nightly, and this hasn't shown up.

This is something good. Earthquake and tsunami drills had been practiced for decades in many countries, here in USA people tends to add drama to this kind of announcements. I participated in several nationwide drills out of USA. Drills are educative and everybody should participate.

The more people that actually take part in these drills the more lives they actually save if a major event does happen.. but you will allways get many people yelling conspiracy! etc...

Everyone should take part if they can...

So what you are saying is that all this preps must be for "something". Well, drills are planned because they think the same too.

It is a conspiracy yes, all of us on the West coast are quite aware something major can and will happen eventually.

We just don't know when, or how bad, or even where exactly.

But you can bet it will be major. We are way overdue so these preparations couldn't come at a better time.

You would think living in an earthquake zone you'd have them more frequently but I haven't felt one since 2001.
The type of earthquake that occurred is rare, it was a nominal magnitude and it was 200km+ away.

That leaves the more common type of earthquake, closer to the surface and cities still building pressure and the fact that we really don't know what the Subduction zone will do off the coast.

Yes, we need to prepare like never before.

I completely misinterpreted the thread title. I thought this was going to be about an actual mechanical drill, and was thinking "Whaaa? How have I not heard of this machinery yet?? What is it's purpose?"

12 million plus are going to participate? How odd, I have several friends in EQ zones (in all 3 Pacific states, actually, and in Alaska, too) But none have mentioned anything about any Shake Out activities. Is it possible the totals may be somewhat...inflated? It seems an awfully high number for no one mentioning anything about t.

Few things of interest.... The moon is approaching a perigee this nov-dec, this drill will occur when we(er the sun) is passing through the super galactic center(grail) in Libra...the tipping point of the scales. Its the opposite to the "ides of march" window that the Sibyl's warn of. In addition to this the moon is new on the 15th so a major 14 day window to watch...November might be the actual perigee that they are worried about....

Don't like to drop prophecies...so lets just say "they" that are planning the exercise might be planning based on the Japan quake in comparison... the ides of march with a perigee full moon...

PS i troll the usgs site...usually 150-250 quakes per week...if you glance from time to time...this past week...600+ highest i saw 689!!...even after the japan quake it didn't spike anywhere near 600 total. Also 2 quakes at 7+ within 5 days of each is not that common...The GOVTs spider sense is tingling

Watch after the next new moon and see if the quake counts start to rise....

if you scroll down there is a distance to moon sin wave....i just noticed we just came out of apogee during this last quake cluster...perhaps someone could post a picture of the chart?? It is interesting the moon just "swung" towards us again....maybe the next perigee "swing" is of concern...oct-dec...hmmm.

Another point of interest....according to this site....www.astropro.com... moon will be in Scorpio close to Ophiucus(Orion's opposite) during this time....there may be ALOT more action than most will like...

I also heard that our system entered the magnetized helium hydrogen ribbon here....www.abovetopsecret.com... , however Pluto being the farthest planet will not be in the cloud until November approx...in Astrological thinking, this will bring a great change and a great revealing will take hold...but we have already been feeling it the last year and a half haven't we?

Funny thing about this is, after the quake in Virginia last August, my kids went back to their elementary school in September. They actually started practicing earthquake drills here. In South Jersey...that earthquake was one of the scariest moments of my life, and for my then 10 & 6 yr. old, it was terrifying for them! So, I was glad they started drills here, if anything, just to ease the kids minds...after all, quakes with such a magnitude of that one, aren't usually felt here.

Hmmm, there was just a 7.6 in the philippine Islands on the 31st..
so,, guess there is nothing to worry about
