I don't even know why I am listening to this debate. The "Major News" polls will declare Kerry the winner as usual. The scientific polls will declare a tie even though Bush is crushing Kerry tonight. The media in this country is definitely swaying votes through bias. Quite sad.

I hope that question hit home to all those Bush supporters I told, "Bush said he'd sign the assault weapons ban, if it came across his desk."

BAM! Ignorant Bush supporters, you got denied!

You're right. Bush had to "step on Kerry's throat" tonight and he's not.

Kerry is getting very strong reviews in the general blogoshpere. Doesn't matter anyway. He'll win all news polls tonight, and Gallup will call it a tie in 72 hours but Indies and Women will trend Kerry.

Suck on that.

Let's see what the DOW and NASDAQ polls say tomorrow. The only poll that counts between now and November 2nd.

That famous date came and went Mirth. What was it Oct 1? Saw the headlines last week about the indicators against Bush.

Only two incumbents in history have been re-elected in a year down on Oct 1 from when they started. FDR and Reagen.

And let me tell you friend, I knew FDR and Reagen. FDR and Reagen were friends of mine. And Mirthful Me, George W. Bush is no FDR or Reagen.

"We fixed it" He says this a lot. If you fixed it why is it still an important enough issue for you get asked a question about it?

Fixed it?

The AWB didnt ban AK-47s, Its sunset didnt not allow people to buy them. Kerry is praying on the fears of people that dont know thier facts on the AWB.

They always like to use AK-47 because there is no different name for the civilain version and the military. They always use AK-47 and not AR-15 because it sounds scarry.

Clinton knew what the AWB cost the Dems when it was created and thats why they didnt go after it this time.

Wow. Bush is so soft spoken now, about the affirmative action issue. Oh now he's getting louder.

kerry, he said that the administrations has no done enough about discrimination agains specially women, does any body remember "affirmative action" I forgot about that

Kerry brings the failure of bush to get with the minorities, he got him.

Bush is very hurt about that he looks confused, on this issue, he kind of lost his thoughts
he brings the [we should give more money for education] is he lost.

Is Kerry trying to shore up segments of the "liberal voter"? Using this as a means to secure ironclad support at the expense of "middle of the road voter? Thinks he can move to the center between now and November 2nd.

But he knew it wasnt going to come across his desk before this election. Niether side would touch it in a election year.

Gun right advocates are going to favor Bush over Kerry on that topic all the time. Granted niether of them are as pro-gun as Badnarik but Bush is alot closer.

Ouch, the faith issue! That's getting personal...

And I agree that Bush is answering that question well. It sounds heartfelt.

Bush completely skirted the Affirmative action issue...went off on eduaction and pell grants instead of talking about the issue. He has been doing this all throughout the debate.

Bush has been clear about his support of Congress on this matter. We don't like it, but choosing to get embroiled in a fight like this in an election year would be political suicide.

That question is a time out in the debate - it's really a personal issue, and both candidates are doing well at being oecumenical in their answer. And they both managed to say that they're not after the Muslims.

Something my grandfather once said..."Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see". "Sound" is the key issue there.

This is a topic I've come to see proven on this board itself - if the politics forum is any reflection of the political mood in America as a whole, you guys are pretty divided. And I've never see the "us and them" that this division causes be so present and so bitter...

This is the Kerry speech that nails Bush to the wall with swings and indies.

Nice John.
