Ace Combat 5 - Coming October 25! Video links inside.

Are any of you guys looking forward to Ace Combat 5? It's looking very awesome, and it comes out in less than 2 weeks! Plus, if you preorder, you can purchase the bundle, which includes a Hori Flight Stick 2 (awesome HOTAS stick based on the Saitek X45 with vibration support).

Just so you know, this game got a 34/40 from Famitsu (Japan), which beats Ace Combat 4, which got 33.

The aircraft models look great as do the graphics. Looks like a wide selection of aircraft too. I wonder how well it will play on a console system though. Hopefully it's good gameplay wise.

The thing I found interesting about this game is it has Licensed fighter planes. The companies that produce these planes had to ok how the plane preformed in the game. This is a first I think in a air combat game.

Gran Turismo 4 can brag all they want about their licensed cars

I own Ace Combat 4 great game the control is great jra. Its more arcadey then sim though. I played a demo for AC 5 and the controls are much the same.

This one will feature the Blackwidow I cant wait to see how the planes stack up against each other since they are licensed this time. Last time the F-22 and SU-47 were the best

really? on my AC4 it seems a lot like the Su-37 rules all and the F-22 was staright up garbage.

AC4 is the game that has the most replay value imo. Ive beat it bout 50 times easy.

Great game cant wait till the next one. hopefully more missions and onlinel play

Are you kidding the F-22 can drop 4 air targets at once. The SU-37 Yellow Squadron fighter isnt even that great Su-37A is better in just about every aspect to the SU-37. Any ground heavy mission the A-10 is the best choice.

Really the best plane by far is the secret X02, but its not even a real plane.

Have you seen the Final plane in this version? Called the "Falken" it looks like something outta Gradius. Weird needle nose, no cockpit(it has 360 degree optic sensors), forward swept wings.. But the best part is the special weapon, the 16-shot TLS...Tactical Laser!!! It has a friggin BEAM CANNON !!!! PCHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

PrototypeGamma that thing sounds cool. I havent even picked up AC5 yet Ive been to busy playing GTA. I really got to pick it up though that Falken thing sounds bad a$$

The YF-23 they show that baby in one of the commercials for the game, It is one sweet looking plane too.

Just rented it. THe controls are slightly different but the game physics are different! YOu can no longer do such sharp turns, especially with older planes. Shows drag and stuff off the wings. YOu get wingmen and stuff. THe only thing i miss tho is teh autopilot. I used that alot in AC4 to stablize my plane

I think that is do to the planes being licensed this time so companies had to ok how the planes handled. You wouldnt want some old plane to handle as good as your brand new fighter plane.

Sucks about the auto pilot I used that in AC4 too.

Hows the AI for the wingmen do you have to babysit them or can they handle themselves?

Wingmen in games are always freaking stupid, The best example of this is in Star Wars Rouge Squadron you tell them to go shoot an enemy tie fighter and they bust a kamikazee on an innocent civilizian.

I hear you on that wingmen can be pretty stupid. I was hoping they make them smarter in AC5 nothing gets me madder when you have a mission where you have to keep dumb a$$ AI alive. That and those dam escort missions god I hate those protect this dumb thing protect that dumb thing.
