What are your ideas to better the relations between the Israeli's and Palestinian's?

One of their hatreds toward each other is the temples in Jerusalem being sacred to both, the Jews and the Muslims. I want so much to scream at both sides, asking them if god created the universe, then how can the temples of Jerusalem be more sacred than the mountains on Jupiter, or the land upon where their feet stand right now!

How can they believe that their god used his power to create all life, and that they have the right to destroy those lives???

How can they believe that their god wants them to kill each other when all god has to do is snap his fingers and they would be dead.

have the UN state that they will not get involved into the fight and let them fight one on one. No advantages same everything same tanks same guns same planes no nukes. give them a year, forces will be implanted with software that reads vital signs as well has as being listed so no new recruitment's same force numbers. winner takes all, hell make it televised

But the playing field should first be levelled...'same everything'? I would have to disagree-

While I agree entirely that the less UN involvement, the better...the same weapons in different hands would not be used with the same discretion-

I agree wholeheartedly with OP; two-state solution seems to be the only viable solution-

However, negotiation is a process; not a rejection of the first offer, then let's try again in a few years-

I don't think Palestine (even if they were willing) has the luxury of duking it out through a civil negotiation process, either-

If they were to arrive at an amicable solution with Israel, they would become the target of the Arab world alongside Israel, I imagine-

As it stands, Palestinians are barred from citizenship and/or employment in most of the surrounding Arab countries, lest they lose their 'right of return'-

They are political pawns, which is tragic and wrong...at least in IMO-

The problem extends well beyond Israel & Palestine...and as controversial as it may be, I think that the 'right of return' should be done away with-

Most of the so-called refugees are not refugees, at all-

There are almost five generations of Arab Palestinians; about 5 million, as opposed to the less than one million that were originally deemed 'refugees'-

The million or so Jews that were forcibly ejected from the Arab countries in 1948 were absorbed by Israel-

The Arabs that left Israel were NOT absorbed into the surrounding Arab countries, nor did they elect to return to Israel...they believed the Jews would be successfully driven out-

UNRWA needs to be dissolved (slowly; not immediately) because it is perpetuating/financing the violence-

Until that happens, there is no reason for the Arab Palestinians to work toward a solution, nor is it to their advantage-

Hence the adjective dovish is used alongside left leaning. It is true that the founding government of Israel was left leaning, as the post-WWII Jewish immigrants tended to be secular leftists. Israel was founded upon principles of socialism after all.

However, ask yourself who signed the peace-deal with Jordan and who made the first real steps towards conflict resolution with the Palestinians before Netanyahu completely reversed these steps in his first tenure as PM. Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres is the answer. Both membes of Labor during their tenure as PM.

I think Israel should stay as is. Israel is the only Jewish-dominant country. There are roughly 2 dozen Arab-dominant nations. Why should the Jews not have a homeland? They should probably halt the settlement building though.

I agree, no side is innocent in this area, however, one side is much more powerful than the other. Any peace accord has to be initiated by the side that has the most power, those with the military power are the only ones who can start a uni-lateral peace process. If the Israelis made the first move then the Palestinians would be rightly condemned for any attack they made on the peace makers. If the Palestinians made the first move and stopped firing rockets into Israel, it would be a sign of weakness and encourage the Zionists to further their aim of genocide. .
