I highly recommend you spend some time learning about the Lunar Module.

Don't judge it by the appearance of its outer thermal shielding.

Ahem, don't presume you know I don't.

"CAPTAIN" Beno.

If you knew me well Denver22 you would know from previous posts. I am an accomplished commercial test pilot and know a thing or two about aerodynamics and what can fly and what can not. I'm not going to go into what I know and what I "Clearly don't" know, but I have my own theories, just the same as you my friend. This thread is not about my personal details, the only person getting personal is is you.

I repeat, just because you "THINK" something is true, does not mean I don't have the right to have my say.

Everybody? What you mean yourself and Jar? We seem to be the only people talking here?

Just for your information: Please read this.

This is why people like myself come on here, because simply believing is a waste

Jra? You gave Denver a star for that? Jeez, very sad.

Perhaps you may be kind enough to explain your views on the lunar module since you
are an accomplished test pilot?.

Not a theory but facts i tend to post i.e denying ignorance.

Your more than welcome to have your say, no one is saying you cannot?
Where does it say that i said you are not allowed to post captain?

Wake up people, this is a conspiracy website, not a lectern for you to berate the masses.

I agree not all posters have the same level of manners, but ...

When a person posts sarcastic imagery and implies people are stupid for believing something (ie the moon landing) it's no different.

Just for Denver22 and all his buddies that feel we have to point out every last little detail prior to having a say:

I think DJW was more just implying a preference for people doing a little of their own research before presenting an argument.

It's a little unfair on persons that do their reading and their research to have to explain everything from scratch. IE ...

'How could the astronauts survive the radiation?' Massively open ended question. Takes ages to respond to.

'I don't believe the shielding was adequate because of the following maths and time spent = X amount of REMS and here is an experiment I did to demonstrate this using an elastic band, a piece of metal, and a radioactive banana' Okay, I might not agree with the experiment method but it's instant star material for putting in the effort.

No one can stop you from asking old questions just people might prefer to see some new takes on old questions instead.

I've passed over threads like this in the past because they really piss me off.

It isn't enough that Neil Armstrong just died. People actually got in Buzz Aldrin's face and one of them he punched. I say good for Buzz. Do it again. Do it as often as necessary to ram the point home.

There is something particularly irritating about those who question what America did on the moon missions, a know-it-all arrogance about people who insist we did not go to the moon and who fabricate scenarios and "evidence" to explain away what we did there as a nation.

Maybe your girlfriend dumped you because you bought a rubber doll. Maybe Mom read you the riot act because you're still living in her basement. Maybe you ran out of porn. Whatever the reason, try real hard to grasp this fact ~ we have imaged the flags planted on the moon by the Apollo missions. It has been proven that we were there.

We went to the moon and we came back and we have proof.

Find another dead horse to whip.

Absolutely, and my apologies for the silly Lunar Module photo, although, it does have it's own "visual" merits.

Denver22: I'm not going to get into a intellectual slagging match with you and I don't pretend to know everything. I'm not even going to disclose other information about myself, so don't bother asking.

The facts for and against the Moon landing a great and far too many to even think about going over again. This thread is a friendly bit of banter I thought and certainly not an in-depth discussion as it has now spiraled way off topic.

Now, as I have given you an insight into my background, perhaps you would do me the honor of disclosing yours?

It has, also i never asked you about your background just if you think the lunar module
was capable in your eyes of landing on the moon cap son.

But then it would mean straying off topic cap - buddy or spiraling as you put it

When you run through rain do you get less wet? No.

Given a quantified distance, if you walk slow through that same distance of rain, you'll get more wet.

If you travel fast through the van allen belt do you get less radiated? No.

The Van Allen Belt has varying densities that emmanate different amounts of radiation.

Niether their suits or their craft provided protection against radiation.

What's your scietific basis for this? Where's your evidence?

I was seven when we landed on the moon. How old were you? Were you even alive yet?

The best minds in our country came together to put our bravest men in harm's way. They worked their a**es off for years to make sure they got it right. The Apollo 11 mission and those that followed it were man's crowning achievement. We landed on another celestial body using the power of our minds and hearts.

Nothing you say will diminish the respect I have for those men. They were great Americans and they always will be. They lived the dream.

What will your legacy be?

Oh dear.

Yes I was alive thanks.

What has age got to do with it?

Very presumptive, deary deary me. I seemed to have gotten you all hot under the collar.

Nothing you say will diminish the respect I have for those men.

I have great respect for them as well. As a fellow pilot I respect the hard yards each one of those men had to go to to get the opportunity of riding one of those missiles into the sky. I sure wish I could have the chance. But alas I'm a little too old now. In my life I have flown some very big pieces of kit and also some very small experimental aircraft held together with what looks like bubble gum and tape. I have been lucky enough to survive several nasty situations and I have studied my butt off to get the same opportunity as our fellow astronauts. I know more than you when it comes to this, unless you can tell me otherwise? Can you?

Presumption is the root of all evil my friend. Never presume.

Keep your mind open, listen to others. I'm listening to you, but I'm not hearing much sense I'm afraid?

Don't try and pull the age card, that's just plain silly.
