Not sure I would be too alarmed right now, however I see the activity has picked up from last month but I'm sure if you go back more than a year or even further back in time you will see its probably average.

Seven billion plus people in the world plus Internet with real time news and you will know when a big one happens in real time news not to mention how many people are effected by natural disasters.... Just lots of people ya know.

The guys over at Quake Watch could give you a more definitive answer though as I've only been watching them daily for a couple of years.

It did that a few years ago, it was over 500 for a couple of months. There weren't many quakes over 5.5 at the time though so this is a little different.

There has already been so much plate movement and some EQ will be dropping off tomorrow. I think it's going to grow but slow down. I say sunday from 9 am to noon. Closest person gets a star from everyone that guesses. Sound fair? So far

I don't think it will happen this time.

It seems to be slowing down some.....26 are going to drop off tomorrow, so we would need 118 more.
If we wouldn't get that many tomorrow, something like 147 are going to drop off on Sunday.
Unless we have another good swarm somewhere, I don't think we can catch up!

But what do I know...it's almost 1 AM here & I am really tired!!!

I'm not so sure it's going to slow down but it seems after the full moon is in action we do, I know probably only makes sense to me as I just woke up.

I say we probably get to at least 750 by 4:00.

It's been unusually active but chances for another mag 7 seem out of the question so I'm going with the challenge there will be another mag 6.5+ today.
