TEXAS Billboard: 'SEALs Removed One Threat To America, Remove The Other In November'

Tried many different searches...no go. If so, oops...

Anyhoo...I love these boards that are popping up all over America but this one has to be my favorite by far.

Although I still don't buy the whole "OBL was killed and dumped into the ocean" story, it's still a great board.

The REAL message? The ad has been up for a Month and so far...no complaints.

LOL.. S/F. I'd heard of the signs...I hadn't seen a picture of one yet. That's certainly something to see. The site I volunteer at is a small community website based in Texas and very much focused to the Texas community. By the message traffic there I think it's very safe to say Obama need not even land in Texas this campaign season. It's wasted fuel if he figures he has more than the ideologues that would vote for a Democrat under any circumstances.

Partisan? Texas? Nawww..... They just call it a way of life down there,.

Yeah, that's kind of how I took that. "You shot one, let's shoot the other"... wow.

If there was a sign that said "We already bombed one oil-rich desert region filled with religious extremists, now let's remove Texas"... wouldn't that sort of imply that we should bomb them?

Wow........let's imply to kill the president and people actually support it. Anyone that likes the sign is a wannabe terrorist. I hate Romney, and if this sign was towards him it would still be disgusting.

Didn't even come across my mind when I first saw it and still doesn't. It is saying to make sure Obama doesn't get into office again with the ability to continue terrorizing Nations and Killing people at will. "Remove the other in November" covers that.

Funny how some here are upset because they believe it's about killing a Prez but no one has even argued the reference to him being a terrorist.

There's no way you didn't get that. I thought that's why you posted it, in fact.

People suggesting this sign means Obama should meet some violent end need to relax. Does anyone honestly believe this sign went up without the Secret Service being aware of it or tolerating it? If they didn't know ahead of time (and that's hard to believe for the Billboard company, if not the ad maker) they sure knew within moments of the first public mention.

The fact it's still there means the people whose whole purpose in life is to evaluate and respond to threats to the President don't take it that way. In Texas, expression may be a little more raw...than some find tasteful. So don't go to Texas, is what they'll tell ya.

Then why not say "Seals removed one threat to America, now vote out the other in November"?

They knew how it sounded and so do all of you. And you all get a kick out of playing victim when people call you out on it. Do I think it's an actual call to arms to literally do what the sign suggests? No, but there are plenty of bubba-effect weirdos who will see that sign and get some ideas.

Let's see... "James Holmes removed a bunch of innocent people from the theater in July. Let's remove some more at the end of the next movie"
Does that imply we should open the exit doors and let them all out? No! There is an obviously violent subtext.

What was the first threat they removed?

Does this billboard support the theory that they got Bin Laden nin Pakistan?

Common sense knows the message in the billboard is to be understood as "remove Obama from office". *facepalm.

People aren't that stupid as to suggest killing the guy. Texans don't go around saying "let's hang the potus" , nope, some of you just wish it was that extreme. Get real and don't over anyalize things.

I thought it interesting enough to share that others did add the line for Voters apparently.



Although, frankly, I think the people who created the ad copy just assumed any American would make the connection between November and voting for the clear implication.

I guess sometimes they do need to spell out meaning down to a very fine level and ...in this case literally... in letters several feet high.
