If you are looking to watch the major speeches of the Republican National Convention on either ABC, CBS, or NBC. You best be tuning into Fox News next weekend who has set aside an unprecedented amount of time to cover the Republican National Convention.

Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly are set to start Special RNC coverage on Fox News Channel Sunday August 26 at 9PM. O’Reilly and Hannity are set to do their shows live in Tampa all next week. Shepard Smith will also end the night after the election special hosted by Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly. Now, I will tally up the hours as the week goes on and more and more commentators on Fox cover the Convention.

What is staggering about this is that the whole of Fox News Channel is devoted to this convention. We can all agree with that, but the other networks decided that its only worth three hours of their time...In totality!!!!! Their excuse? They will cover it using "new media," and that nobody should be upset because its all partisan nonsense. This is of course after they announce 30 Hours of coverage for their own Convention.

No There's No Liberal Bias Here

Fox news did the same thing for the DNC in 2008. Here asre some highlights you missed if you watched Fox for the conmvention.

* Hillary calling for Obama's nomination (Check, wasn't on Fox)
* Kerry ripping into McCain (Check, was not on Fox)
* Any speech that had any emotion to it (Check, can't have any of that on Fox)

Anytime anything interesting happened at the convention, Fox news would go to an immediate Commercial break. Sucks how that happens.

If the other news organizations are ignoring some of the convention, it's because they know the Republicans will not be watching them anyway. If you keep criticising the other news organizations, and telling viewers how biased they are, won't those same news organizations not really pick up coverage of the RNC due to low ratings. Honestly, do you really think they want to throw money away on something that will not generate viewers? Fox news will cover the RNC completely, and the rest of the media can cover the DNC where they are guaranteed a bigger audience. It all comes down to money in the end.

My 94 year old mom will only watch Fox for news. I mentioned these Code Pink protesters and she just couldn't believe it. She thinks I made up the story. Well, I warned her. Now, you've been warned, too. I have seen their twisted costumes and all I can say is keep a barf bucket handy if you watch Fox. No way on the planet any other networks will touch this story. Maybe Fox won't cover them either. IMHO they are doing the Dems more harm than good.

I think this takes it to more extremes. We know that the liberal media is slowly but surely going bankrupt. We know that it cannot afford to cover the RNC and everything in it. But three hours???? I think the RNC will have a lot more stuff that they can pull out of a hat than three hours worth??? I'm sure Fox News talked about gaffes and stuff that the democrats did at the convention that you mentioned that could harm the democrats for weeks in 2008.

I wasn't a news junkie back then, so couldn't tell you, for certain, but I am sure they covered how dirty a campaign Obama ran against Hilary and then the surprise that he would be selected as the nominee and not her!

Yeah right. Guess what? The networks are not showing the 1st night of the Dem convention in Charlotte either. But you can find both the RNC and DNC full coverage on MSNBC, CNN, PBS, CSPAN, etc.

So much for you uninformed "Liberal" media claim.

Facts are stubborn things.

I would love to see your sources for this.

Edit: ah funny. I see what they did there. MSNBC is not considered a big network.
Cause no one watches it. I am talking about the big four. ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS.

ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS are broadcast stations....FOXNEWS is cable....FOX is not having a ton of RNC coverage...FOXNEWS is.

Do you even know the difference?

Do you care?

Wow, who would get confused by that? I mean, sure if you didn't read the OP and just came in here to attack things and pull things out of context. I guess someone reading that comment could see hey yeah your right outkast. But everyone knows that I am talking about the News divisions of those networks. I shouldn't have to put News on the end of each Station.

CBS NEWS
ABC NEWS
NBC NEWS
FOX NEWS

Does that make you happy now. Jeez the grammar police are out in full force these last couple of days.

Oh I see...you are comparing the Fox News channel to TV CHANNELS THAT DON'T EXIST.

My god...you are so wrong...all the time...about almost everything.

While you are complaining about biased i would also point out Fox News has not even announced any DNC coverage so far...

I wonder why conservatives, who own all the news channels would promote a liberal agenda, well that would just be silly. Its like saying that dogs and cats like to fornicate.

Thanks for helping. With this guy we are tilting at windmills though. I don't expect him to "get" the distinction.

Let me try. Sigh.

NONE of the main broadcast networks (your "big four" if you will) -- ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC -- are providing full coverage of either convention. The one broadcast network that is is PBS (which you'll surely consider liberal).

Now the cable channels ARE providing full coverage, to include the big CABLE three of MSNBC, FOX News, CNN. In addition, you'll have full coverage from other cable outlets: CSPAN, Current TV.

Total it all up and you have FAR more coverage of BOTH conventions from the outlets you'd consider "liberal media."

Everything about your premise is wrong, both on the facts and in terms of comparing apples to apples. It has nothing to do with grammar.

I see your posts a lot, as your avatar is memorable visually. I fear you have a massive amount of learning before you because much of what you write is, literally, illogical. Too most of us, even I am sure many on your side of the political aisle, reading your posts can be cringe-worthy, sort of like listening to a guy try to rant that only fiberglass boats fall off the edge of the earth, while the metal ones sail on and there must be a conspiracy about that. In other words, both the premise and facts within are nonsense. Sorry, that's the deal.
