Couldn't agree with you more.

Our government officials (most of them) work for the large corporations and banks that funded their campaign.

This is what most of them deserve to see in their mail boxes come this November.





Our government has allowed corporate leaders to "outsource" and "insource" American Citizen's jobs among other atrocities - time to clean house.

A star for your pink slip. I would love to be handing them out to worthless Democrats and Republicans. A good example of them accepting bribes is the trip the GOP delegates took to Israel last year. We see where their loyalties are and it is not with us.

more of them get busted for getting caught red
handed . Fast and Furious is perfect example.
It needs to be mandatory that no one wanting to hold any house, senate, president, supreme court, governore, or any other political office in the US can server over 2-3 years

Any one holding public office must pay for their own health ins., own flights/hotels / car rentals , abide by same rules as
ordinary citizens.

If any person caught taking bribes, working for giant corps, or spending over a set limit for running for office can never serve office again.
I am sure others could put a few more ideas in . Then we must stand together before we stand so far apart
there won't be any chance to stop what is coming down the pipe. TPTB are force feeding us and I am sick.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I have. Both have been pretty good to me.

I was a Dept. of Defense employee now retired. I had an enjoyable career, didn't make big money but I got by OK. Six years ago this week I retired after volunteering to take an early retirement when my department was wanting to make cut-backs. Under those conditions I qualified for Early Retirement Authority and was able to go out with a meager pension at age 53. I live outside the US and live fairly well on what I make along with my savings and being free of debt. Others in my section were unable to accept the early retirement offer because of debt and sizeable mortgages. I lived frugally and kept debt low.

I have another part of my retirement in a tax-deferred account that took a bit of a hit in 2008. I do not need that money any time soon. I am under the newer federal retirement plan that is paid in part by Social Security. I will be eligible to begin drawing that in less than 3 years and will probably add enough to my monthly pension that I will be able to live fairly nicely on it, somewhat lavishly if I decide to draw from that other tax-deferred account. Fugal as I am I may not touch it for quite a time though.

I had one particular complaint about personal liberties but California, and some other states now, have generally made that a non-issue though I hear the federal government doesn't fully respect the states' laws on that matter.

I agree with you though, give me liberty or give me death, but I have no complaints about enjoying life right now. I still don't trust their foreign policies though, and I don't like other shenanigans they are pulling on friends and family, but then again, I don't live there any more nor have even visited the States since 2007. The country was becoming unrecognizable by the time I left there and have heard it has only gotten worse, which all disheartens me. I am glad I got away from there still with some good memories.

It's great that you got to retire with enough money to live "lavishly". I hope I could be so lucky when I retire in 35 years. I think the blame should fall on the baby boomer generations. Screwed the world up for the rest of us.

I guess you've got to have somebody to blame things on if all does not go well for you. Don't think the "boomers" all had it so great. Theirs were the swollen classrooms and growing up on "hand-me-downs" and other make-do situations because of their numbers. If you continue to blame other people, other generations for your problems and misery then that can be your "aspirin" to let you live with your self-induced headache, but you will still be miserable.

Is that a note of jealousy or envy I hear responding to my statement that spending my savings along with my small retirement pension and a social security check that I paid into for almost four decades I might be able to afford some lavish moments after living frugally all my life while saving for my senior years? It sounds like the opening notes to a symphony you want to perform. Make sure to include in it the movements of butt-busting work and sacrifices it takes to get to that crescendo. Reflect too on the fact that I am living abroad in a low-cost country that you might never even consider visiting in but on an all-inclusive stay in a resort beach spa never leaving your hotel. There may be some package deals in your price range or the opportunity to see those places for a few hours on a Carnival Cruise stop-off.

You might take the time to prepare for your golden years as well. These things take an effort and some planning otherwise you may be like the others in my division that had to pass up the opportunity I took because they lacked sufficient savings and were bogged-down in debt. Your tears may help ease the pain but unless you are from some wealthy and privileged class it will not be handed to you but will require some planning, hard work, and suffering to spend your last decade or two in relative comfort. Luck alone may not ensure that.

There was no American generation that didn't have to struggle to have some successes but there are now some generations that are being ill-prepared to face those necessary struggles. American schools don't like to discourage their students with poor grades or letting kids know their performance lacks initiative and effort. What the "boomers" are most likely guilty of is patting their kids on the butt instead of spanking it when deserved.

A coup would likely lead to a very bad situation. Civil war? Many deaths? A new government led by who? Military? Professors? Economists? Capitalists?
What we need is a NONE OF THE ABOVE on our ballots. Our two party system force feeds us their choice, so we only get to choose one of their choices, not OUR choices. We need to TRAIN the parties, not the other way around, by our votes. With enough NONE OF THE ABOVE votes cast, they have to give us new ones in a quick fashion, as they SHOULD have more than one person on their minds during the whole process. We don't need anarchy, we are supposed to maintain control over our government by elections and for the people elected not to be elitists, but people that understand us. No extremists! But changing laws that mean we don't trust our elected officials...... getting them to do this, would be tough. They sure don't like hearing what a crappy job they do... that's why they increasingly tune us out! They don't WANT to hear how lame they are and they DON'T want to be voted out of office, especially before they get their lifetime benefits packages! BUT..... we need to control our government through a democratic or representative process, not by guns. That's what we wanted to start with; a government that is Of the People, By the People, and FOR THE PEOPLE, not just wealthy special interests!

I think there are many valid points put out here. And your right just viewing this thread would raise the eyebrows of the gate keepers.

Until we set aside our differences as petty as they are, can we then move forward and produce a society worth living in that gives to the people. granted thats what our founding fathers wanted in the beginning, only they too well understood that TPTB held a heavy influence over our heads and that people would be tempted to sell out their souls for the stupid idea of money. This is how we lost our principals. We can get em back...but not without a fight this much is certain.

I completely disagree with the posted thoughts, and here is why. It is the problem - reaction - solution as so often used by those running the systems today. I am a Christian and will include secular reasoning as well in hopes that it gives you something to think about, and in hopes that it sets you on a journey to salvation in God Almighty.

1) MORALITY
 Lenin said that "The best revolutionary is a youth devoid of morals." Why is this important? God said the end time generations would be lawless, sinful, arrogant, proud, boastful, cold hearted and continually doing wicked in his sight. These traits lead to rebellion against authority, specifically against His Authority.

The descendants of Christian forefathers have NO IDEA as to how wicked they have become. Why? Because we compare our morals with society, not against the standard of God. How often does the individualistic person say "But I'm a good person" and truly think it?

How did we forget God and his commands? How were we led astray away? See the 45 stated Goals of Communism as entered into the 1963 US Congressional Record:

We simply adopted the ways and beliefs that the beast gave us. The beast and whore of Babylon know exactly how to deceive for their power comes from Satan - the one who has been a liar and deceiver from the beginning. Most now believe and choose him because of indoctrination and propaganda. Hitler did it to his entire country through film, radio and youth groups. Think about today and add a hundred tv channels, film studios, music and the Internet. Satan's message sounds good to those ears unfamiliar with God's commands. And once one believes in those messages, God seems like a tyrant. Sexual immorality and sin lead people away from God. They are consuming lusts.

2) LEADERS
God appoints our leaders to either bless us or to inflict judgement. They are HIS INSTRUMENTS. Please step back and think about a population who reject Him and His commands. What leaders will He appoint, especially if you come to know that the wicked are used against the wicked?

Satan knows how to control the world for he is the god of this world, yet he is subject to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now look at your quoted article calling for a revolution and rebellion. Can you see from above what he has done through his ideology? He has prepared a generation or two of our 'youth' by stripping them of God's morality and the love and knowledge of God. He has created a youth who will attempt to rebel against the very leaders that God has appointed to fulfill His Will. He has created the problem and is managing the reaction. Why do you think that our leaders are stripping away our legal rights and setting up the new world order systems? They know that revolution is coming by blinded individuals who have rejected good and life because they set it up that way. That is what Jesus offers - Good and LIFE. Satan offers evil and DEATH. I will pray that these words get a few thinking about this world and these times and that it leads them to humbly pray in repentance. God would have it that no one perishes, that all be saved, but unfortunately many will choose evil over good by choosing the beast instead of God Almighty. He is ever so patient, willing that all come to repentance. Those pressures in society are to bring people to repentance - NOT REVOLUTION. By advocating rebellion and revolution, it demonstrates what is in your heart. Cry and shout repent instead for that is love. Save people, don't send them to their destruction. Thomas Jefferson said those words, I believe, and good words that be. As for the question do I feel well served by my government?
In fact, outside my disability check, my government hasn't served me at all, at least since the 60s.

I got a feeling something is going to happen soon. I can feel it deep in my bones, I know that sounds weird, but far from the weirdest thing that has been said here. But it is a feeling that I can't shake and I have had feelings like these off and on throughout my life. Hopefully I am right, hopefully it is something that swings the balance back in Our favor, the People. Give Me Liberty, Or Give Me Death!

Title....."It is well past time for a Government coup".......That's good, I'm glad we missed it. I was enjoying life here for those years instead of getting all fired up and angry. In order to get rid of the crooked people in our government we need to stick together and elect more people with conscience to these position and not people who are overpowering and think they know everything. We have to stop electing these people who promise us things and cut down their opponents with deceitful ploy. How can you expect a congressman to be honest when their campaign is riddled with deceit. Just open your eyes and don't be satisfied with the candidates the Republicans and Democrats choose. Try to get honest people nominated for these positions, ones with ties to the people, not the elite or corrupt. The rich aren't bad just because they are rich, the way they acquired their wealth is what counts. We can't elect an individual to office just because we want to be part of the winning team, we need to elect these people because they represent our needs. Our wants and our needs are different, what we want we must work for and what we need we can assign to our government to HELP us provide. We think we need things we don't and this is a problem in our society that has gotten way out of line. Our needs are being set aside because of others wants.

Don't destroy something that needs repairs. Fix it the right way, don't put patches over patches. Fix wallstreet, don't be afraid of it. Fix our world's Ecological problems so the world can heal and provide for us. Make your needs your wants and everything will fall into place. We give the deceivers the power with our belief in them. They are powerless without our belief. What I say has nothing to do with religion other than that it is recorded in the history of religions. This is about being deceived.

Do you think that a new government will be better? Chances are it will be worse if a lot of hotheads take over.
