I take it that this comment will be overlooked but know that you are not alone in your convection. Many are experiencing the same symptoms and are unaware of what could be causing them. Know this, the energies of the coming shift in consciousness are going to divide the world into two. Those driven mad by them and those who accept them and allow their bodies to integrate them. Some things to help you integrate are meditation, lots of clean water, lots of veggies, and cutting out those people and things in your life that bring you a abundance of negativity. Soon enough everything will be crystal clear my beloved

What a negative contribution to the subject of this thread. Strange how some people get off on other people's unhappiness. Sound's like a personal problem eh my friend?

"a mental illness"? Why, because the guy doesn't feel his life is complete at this time? So what, one has to be a robot slave or he is mis-diagnosed by some ignoramous on the internet? = I think not. I guess you have never been unhappy? Well than you're lucky, and your luck too will sooner or later run dry.

Gotta wonder about people like you. You're not even intelligent enough to take the time to use a real bigfoot as your avatar, that is if your signature speaks the truth?

You used a Gorilla? Come on guy, Bigfoot doesn't have a bare chest. Talk about laziness. Get with the program. ~$heopleNation

We are sucking the life out of a planet that we should be nurturing. I am disgusted with myself and the rest of humanity. We were not meant to live our lives this way.
Is this what we have really been reduced to?

Change should start with you. It's hypocritical to attack all of humanity if you can't even live the life you were "meant to live." Are you so afraid to live the life you want that you would wish doomsday upon the entire world (which has its share of children/innocents/guiltless animal life/etc.)?

Plenty of people have the balls to live life according to principle. Get on the train. You won't necessarily be as rich (money-wise) or as successful (according to today's sad standards), but then maybe you'll be able to look yourself respectfully in the eye again, begin to value life's blessings (I'm agnostic, but the word still has meaning), and love your life again.

Its not bigfoot. It's a troll. Or maybe I was just reading a thread about trolls and now I am seeing them everywhere. If it is a mental illness? Well I could name at least a hundred people I personally know who feel the same way as the OP. These are not even people who post here on ATS. They probably don't even know this site exists. I am sure there are others who don't talk about it but feel the same way. I have a pretty good life. I have had some very tough times but got through them. But still something in the air doesn't feel right. It feels like the day before Christmas. Like tomorrow or someday soon we will all be waking up to a very big surprise. I live in Florida. WE are very prone to hurricanes. I have been through quite a few. The last few years I never really worried during hurricane season, even when I was in the cone of death. But this year I kind of feel like a big one will be coming my way. Maybe it will be just a big hurricane, maybe it will be something else.

I've thought about this for awhile. Why do people by and large look forward towards chaotic, dangerous, or even deadly events? What drives people like the OP to have the outlook they do? Well, I think it's a lot deeper OP, than you just doing day to day selling stuff to people that don't need them.

What did we do even 150 years ago to live day to day? Well, we had to do a lot more than we do now. We didn't have luxuries like refrigerators. We had to buy in smaller quantities. Store food in ice which had to be often replaced. Got around the limitations by doing things like pickling and smoking and canning. We had to do things to survive. Because we are animals - and all animals have something in common - they must work to survive, or as a species, they don't.

Quite recently, many if not most of the things we had to worry about on a daily basis just to get by.. to live.. to survive.. it's all been modernized to the point where we don't have to even try. Refrigerators and stoves, microwaves and tvs, better medical care and dental care. Public transportation and cities where everything you need to survive is often literally a few blocks away.

Somewhere deep in us.. mentally.. in our DNA.. in our subconscious, we have not yet even close to adapted to our new lifestyles. Isn't it funny how in some countries, simple folk who do not have our luxuries, live a happy life.. without TV and modern cooling and cars and all the rest? Because.. as animals, they are doing something critical their cerebral cortex craves - they are surviving.

It's why I think, people seem to want something to shake up their lives. A tragedy, or a disaster or something akin - because then they can do what as humans we have done since we crawled out of the muck - we survive. And it's ironic, but not surprising, than once something tragic happens, humans suddenly seem to be at their best. We are fulfilling a deep-seated need. To survive and help our fellows do the same.

Here is the trick: we need to get past that. We need to refocus on something different.. something new. Yes.. we must evolve. It's a race really.. will we dissolve into self-created disasters so we can get that addiction for survival, or will we develop past that and find different wants to spend our time more meaningfully. We need to completely change how we think and do things - like you OP - you feel your life has no purpose. You need to work to find a NEW purpose. As a species, humans will either do that, or they will fall back into the muck with the rest of the animals on our planet.

Hang on Brother, we are definitely in the End Times. I feel it in my soul, I feel it deep in my bones. About a year ago I was feeling the same way as I read bad news after more bad news. I spent the rest of the night researching near death experiences and such to help me to hang on and give me a little boost to keep going. Thats when I broke down and started crying that I just wanted to go home so badly, I wanted nothing more than to be in Heaven with my older brother who had died 25 years ago. I meant every word that I cried out. That very night my brother come to me in a dream/ vision or whatever you want to call it. The experience left me little doubt that I would be with him VERY SOON. Here is a link to what I posted about that nights experience..

These are threads I posted elsewhere but I think they are relevant here so I am reposting them. These may be part of the reason so many people are craving an apocalypse.

I think everyone is noticing that more and more people are snapping to a greater extent. Look at the face eating guy in Miami. the Colorado shootings, more and more random acts of violence everywhere. I think it is happening. I think it will get worse. I have several theories as to why.

1. Everyone is suffering financially. I have felt this myself. Went from making lots of money to being broke. Finally I am now working but I am working about ten times harder and longer for about a third of what I used to make.
In my line of work I see so many people suffering financially, losing their homes. Looking for work and looking for work and looking for work.

2. We are too connected all the time. I blame cellphones for this mostly but the internet is also a problem. It used to be that once you left work at 5:00 pm no one could call you until you got home. even then it was easier not to answer. You could go to dinner and no one could reach you. You could relax, enjoy your food, talk with your companion...
Now you leave work. Your spouse is calling you asking where you are... Your boss is calling you you need to cover something in the morning. Your aunt is calling you. Friends are texting you. All know you have your phone on you so if you don't answer they will be offended or angry. Whereas before they would think you havent gotten home yet, stopped to run an errand or are stuck in traffic. Now if you done answer they think something must be wrong.

It applies both ways.. You call your wife on her cell phone and she doesnt answer what will you think? How will you react? you then text her and call her again? Or you call your employee because you need something? They don't answer? Hmmm someone who doesn't want to put extra effort in.... This all puts way more pressure than we used to have.

The internet does the same thing. WE all have this constant stimulation coming at us from all angles. Too much stimulation. Why do the instances of depression, ADD, ADHD, autism all seem to be rising? I think over-stimulation may be a key factor.

So many people are suffering right now. But people have always suffered. Life itself has never been easy. Would an Apocalypse really solve all your problems? Or would it create a whole new set of problems?

Also many of us out here (especially those here on ATS) simply do not trust our governments to always do the right thing. We also fear the NWO that could potentially replace the current system.

Am I happy with my life? Yes... Do I suffer YES. I watch my paycheck disappear to taxes, bills, student loans. Life, whether modern life, life in the middle ages, life in the 1800s, or even post Apocalyptic life is all about survival.

Personally, I am prepared for the "end" if it comes. But you should also be prepared for life to continue if the "end" does not come in our lifetime.

I don't think anyone can accurately predict when the end will come but all things must end at some point.

If your so mad at the world today, then find a way into the world.

Let me impart to you a piece of information, the Earth is hollow. Life there is free, no need to eat, no need to drink, and in there (so far that I have learned about) there is peace.

Are you implying he should end it? That is not good advice AT ALL.. Maybe I am missing the point of your post. The world seems to be a mess but then again it always has been. An apocalypse wont change that.

Those people are called the Dark born, they find pleasure in other peoples misery and misfortune. I can sense these people the second I meet them and know to stay far away from them, even if the put on their fake shows and faces I can always spot them. I learned alot about myself and who I am after researching my 11:11 experiences...but that a whole nother story in itself.

There are a bunch of people who would die to be in your position in life yet you do not appreciate it. You have the typical first world problem. congratz

Just think about this next time you get jaded. You will not get killed at a road check point on your way home. You will not have a stray bomb land on your home. You will get to eat unlike many people across the world. You have a home and a bed to sleep in. You have a car, many people do not even have shoes on their feet. You have time to think of sensless drivel while others can only think of how they will survive tomorrow.

You have it pretty dang good. Go to a thrid world country and whine to them about this and they will say you are a very stupid person to view the glass half empty.

Having all your needs met have disconnected you from reality.

You're not going to get any insults from me, either. I think one of the big problems is that life has gotten far too complex. A lot of that has to do with the government's involvement in absolutely everything. Everything is regulated. Everything is taxed. There are so many laws you have to obey that you can't even breathe anymore.

I think it's time to simplify. Get rid of government. Get rid of brain-rotting television. Get rid of processed food substitute. Get rid of having to rely on everyone else for everything. I like the idea of getting back to a simple life where people depend on each other as individuals. This nonsense about being a global community is propaganda to further the agenda of the new world order. They'd like us to be "global" in nature because that is their wish for the scope of their power.

I'll give you an example of what I think the OP feels. I'm trying to start a company. I have a product idea that many of you would be interested in purchasing. I know this for a fact. I am not going to tell you what it is, but suffice to say no one gives a crap. I can't get anyone to help me with the things I need help with. A little mechanical engineering help. A little e-commerce web help. I am willing to give people shares in my company in return for what is essentially a small amount of work from them. Potentially a very big payback - much more than if they had charged me their usual fee. But no, no one wants to help. They just want their money. The could give a crap if I have the best idea since the light bulb and they are not willing to take even the slightest risk. American ingenuity is dead, I think. Another symptom of what the OP is feeling. I feel it, too. I am about to give up, frankly.

OP, let's go find a nice forest, if there's any left.

I can understand where you are coming from even if I dont agree 100%.

I agree things need to change but I dont think the world ending will change anything it will just reset the clock and humans will rebuild and start raping the planet all over again. What we need to do is realize there is a better way, one that does not require us to compete for resources. My friend there are an infinite possible ways for you to find adventure in this life and as many people on here state there will be a day when you draw your last breath that you recognize how fragile and precious life is. Every second you breath you have the opportunity to create change not only in the world but within yourself.

Sell all the things you have and use that money to travel to far off locations, get out of your comfort zone. Push yourself to have new experiences there is an infinite number of possibilities just waiting for you to make the first move. There is nothing to fear just throw caution to the wind and take a leap of faith. Faith that no matter what happens that is what was supposed to happen. Ultimately when we die all we will have is the culmination of our experiences. The greater your experiences the greater your afterlife if you believe in one. No one ever dies thinking I wish I didnt explore the world as much as I did.

Wrong. Everyone needs a purpose in life. It doesn't matter what your "position" is or how much you make.

PLEASE watch. This will helps you. I promise. I know exactly how you feel. Take some time out and watch the video and I guarantee you, you will feel more at peace within yourself. PEACE&LOVE

It has been said that like you and I, we are new age "prophets" who can feel that the end is near. Our duties or "purpose" is to awaken everyone else around us who has strayed away from spirituality and has been consumed in this materialistic world. Trust me, I wake up every day going to the same dead end job just hoping a nuclear bomb goes off in some city or some major earthquake will hit so my life can finally start and I can get back to what I was meant to do, which is helping, loving, caring and assisting people who will live in fear in what is to come very soon. The end of the world is happening whether anyone believes it or not. It's happening right now slowly and we are reaching the end point. Our government is preparing for something; why can't we?

Honestly, I'm not worried about the end of the world. I'm more worried about when the world ends, nothing has changed.

The last time I checked, South Africa was a not first world country. You speak of me having a first world mentality but you assume I exist in the same world as you do. I have had my home robbed while I was in it. My father has had a knife to his throat while the men laughed. Please do not assume too much. I have experienced horror that you can only hope to understand in your movies. And you wonder why I have lost my faith in humanity?

What you failed to understand about my post was that I am painfully aware of my position in life, the fact that I am blessed, the fact that I have managed to make a success of my life. Understanding and knowing this, I still feel like there is something missing. I know it comes across selfish, but at the same time I cannot help the way I am feeling.

hire someone to manage your business and semi-retire..then explore the world, go on safari, etc.

If you don't like your life, then change it..don't just sit around all emo and want the world to end because you don't like traffic.
Nothing is stopping you, and if you can't deal with the concept of getting a passport and flying over to nowheresland because thats too much work, then its a pretty safe bet you wouldn't do well in some eotwawki survival scenario.

So ya, put up or shaddup basically. change..or not, your choice.

And yes, midlife crisis is normal.

Op, people have provided some good advice here, check back in a let us know how you are going. Maybe you in turn can help someone else out.

Can you play an instrument?

If so, you can do a lot of good with that, if not why not learn one? Music has saved me many times.

Be well,
