My Mum and Nana's UFO Sighting Back in the 70's

The other day I was talking to my mum on the phone and we started talking about UFOs. She and her family have had some pretty interesting experiences. They lived in a remote area of our hometown on a few thousand acres of ranch land.

Anyway, one night when my mum was about 16 years old, my nana picked her up from a friend's place and they decided to just sit in the car for a while and talk. They looked into the night sky and witnessed about 14 multi-coloured lights hovering still in the sky in an imperfect circular pattern. The lights began circling around each other, one at a time. One light would circle around the next, and so forth. After a few minutes of this, they shot straight up in the sky and disappeared.

I'm curious about everyone's theory on this.

If they were in fact some sort of extraterrestrial UFO, it might be worth theorizing on their reasoning for circling around each other. My theory is some sort of magnetic polarity build-up they receive from each other; like when you grab two magnets and force-rotate them around each other until they push away.

Thanks for sharing this. This is the second thread in a row to relate a personal (second-hand in this case) sighting experience. Who knows what they saw, but I'm not so sure that - if is was the produce of a non-human intelligence - it's much use to speculate about why they might be doing whatever it is they were doing. But I would encourage others to follow your example and tell of what they (or their loved ones) have seen.

Can someone enlighten me on why I'm being flagged?

Yeah I have to agree I have no idea at all and no real basis for my speculation of what they were doing. It was a pretty interesting story to hear though. My mum said she and my nana looked at each other like, "What did we just see?"

My mum is beyond intelligent (she was once offered membership into Mensa) and I have never had any reason to doubt her credibility.
