Chesterfield police will find any reason to arrest someone, even if they have to make one.
We call it Arresterfield, here in Richmond.

Wow that's funny, our Chesterfield (in Derbyshire, UK) has the same reputation, also following in fashion to to the Police, Chesterfield court is known as one of the worst in the UK for being harsh on offenders.

My only question is why are these "outraged" Veterans joining up with the military in the first place? Are they that ignorant before they join?

Did they not do their research about the history of U.S. governmental corruption and the military industrial complex?

We need to start a website called www.beforeyoujoin.com or something that quickly and systematically summarizes all the reasons they should NOT volunteer for the military.

This concept that you are "serving your country" when you join is so outdated and part of the propaganda campaign to trick people into signing up during recruiting.

I'll have to take your word for it that's what he said on Facebook, since you didn't provide a link.

Someone else posted the link so I didn't bother reposting it, but here it is www.facebook.com...

If that's what he said, considering his profile and public statements, no wonder the dude was detained for questioning & evaluation. This is what we pay law enforcement to do: protect us. If the Feds had done their jobs right before (like this) with the theater shooter and the Sikh shooter, maybe all those people wouldn't have died.

This is not one of those stupid entrapment cases the FBI does so often - this is a valid threat assessment and investigation.

I hate governmental abuse of power as much as the next guy, but this is simply not appearing to be one of those situations at all.

I agree completely

... Or on the flip side, wondering what causes an enlisted man who swore an oath to protect a constitution/ fight for a nation, to wig out when presented with so much material. Material that is the norm on ATS. I think your directing your Nervousness to the wrong parties...

I just love that when people start questioning the reality of things, and how evil things have gotten they are deemed crazy or conspiracy nuts. If they try to act peacefully, they are beaten back by cops as more rights are stripped away and a dumbed down public just looks the other way. When they decide to act, they are deemed terrorists against the state and arrested or locked away in mental institutions when the dumbed down public looks the other way.

We are living in a bizarre time for sure...

Point is, considering how ass backwards it is... There's a reason the DHS declares a blanket warning on Troops... Swearing an Oath and fighting for a country, to come back and watch it destroyed from the inside must be too much to bear. Considering their training, and patriot like mindedness, they are certainly a risk for certain groups...

I mean think about it... It's like you risk your life for an idea, then come home and realize it was a lie and you may have been fighting for evil intentions... It's mind blowing. It's also why the idea of NATO troops being used to stop insurrections on the mainland is not so far fetched...

Lots of things can cause that .. doesn't mean they are all conspiracy related... PTS can cause some serious issues.. I knew a guy who served in viet nam who was off his rocker after..

vets need to be looked after and cared for to make sure that they are handling things better.. but we tend to use them and toss them aside instead.

Possible, but considering what we know, I just think he is just PO'd at the way things are going and got a little too rambuncious with his thoughts.....I think he is a victim of letting his anger get the best of him...

Hopefully he isn't used for some political gains, and he realizes that he has to choose his words much more carefully in the future..

This is a pretty big low in gvt. fear mongering. So based on this youtube clip, a random picture, and a background in the mil. (possibly honorably, possibly dishonorably), we are supposed to demonize a government?

I don't care if the guy did talk about his guns! Or the revolution! So what? TPTB can flaunt their guns wherever and whenever they like but the citizens are metal if they do? WTF?

Personally I'm against a violent revolution but also I am for people having the right to use their guns if they are having their rights violated! I do think people that do it are on to a losing battle but I have respect for them... What is so wrong with wanting to defend yourself and your rights? Should we all just stand around and get taken away? Or what lobby (beg) the government to be nicer to us?

I'm for peaceful non-compliance, I see that as our only weapon truthfully...

Hopefully he gets out sooner rather than later!

Think about this for the moment... How many times have the government/authorities threatened to use force/guns/bombs etc? Oh but thats cool right? Pfft....

Or they could be using him as an example of what lays in waiting down the line for anyone imposing their thoughts vocally on the GP. Who knows, but you could eb right in that there is more to this than meets the eye especially if one of his pages on FB has been taken down, that would have been the one that caused the alert. So for him to have said what he did about the revolution and the guns not being taken down, it makes me wonder what he vocalized on the one that did get taken down. This is alarming any way you look at it.

Nothing wrong with being vigilant is there? Besides, I don't think our government needs any help being demonized do you? Just look at our debt and the banking scandals alone.....

I would rather be on the ball, than be behind a fence!

Wow, his mother says he never resisted arrest, and was never read his rights...And FBI told her "The threats he was making were terrorist in nature."

But so then why would they falsely charge him for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest- when he clearly didn't. This is total BS...And they are holding him to see a judge on Monday???

AND they haven't told him what he is being arrested for? BS BS BS

So why then is he being held to see a judge if there is no charge???

It's shameful for a marine to threaten our government. Just because Mike Savage or Beck says something, doesn't mean we should be "sheeple" (pun intended) and go along with it. DEMS are not our enemies, GOP is not our enemies, Tea Party, libertarians, are all Americans... We need to work together and not let Billionaire radio hosts tear us apart.. (Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh are all close to Billionaires with a B)

Interesting. Sure are a lot of plain clothed guys around, and they do not look like FBI. Hair it too closely cropped. Looks like ex-mil or military CID or Secret Service police (different group in the SS than the agents you see protecting the politicians).

you can't spread irrational or false fear to bring someone to your particular cause though. If you don't like the debt, fight that and have that your dislike, not a possible legit arrest... perhaps we should wait for the facts before an opinion one way or the other is decided upon.

Perhaps...

Is 72 hours enough time for the pschotropic drugs to take full effect? Who knows.
But not reading the Miranda rights... interesting. If that's the case then they surely are treating him as a terrorist threat, which will keep him out of the normal legal system.

Yay for NDAA!!!

Nothing wrong with being a billionaire mind you, (hey.. I'm working on trying to get there myself) but if someone is telling you that you have to HATE somebody, you better know who's paying them...

Nobody is going to say something to make me hate my GOP or DEM brothers and sisters.. I answer to a higher power than his bloviated dittoship.... WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Oh yeah, right ... he's a conspiracy theorist, like millions of people ... so, he's got arrested for his opinions.

Does that sound right enough?

Anyone out there still think Bin Ladin did 9/11? :-)
