One of those "fans" huh? Every real fan I knew hated that album. It was their Metallica Black album. Dave sold out and poseurs took notice. Not that he wasn't interesting on an ATS level before.


But ya know, he has been a Satanist and a Christian and everytime he opens his mouth he gets either one he is bashing at the time wrong. When he has the time to formulate his thoughts a bit better, Dave Mustaine is capable of being a much better speaker. Listening to him speak about political issues, you would never think that this is a formerly drugged out rocker from the 80s.

From the looks of things on this one, he both put his foot in his mouth and was taken a bit out of context on the whole "Obama organized the shooting" thing. From his clarifications afterwards, it apperas as if he doesn't believe Obama orchestrated it, but that someone in a position of power had something to do with it, even though Obama may have had no knowledge.

That being said, I still disagree with what Dave Mustaine said.

Hey Mama J--Thanks for your reply and I knew fully what you were referring to per se--but as a recovered addict of 15 years and a huge fan of Metallica--I just wanted to clarify what the original message was--nothing against you or your post cuz to be honest--I think alot of people in politics are puppets

I am convinced that our gov't (and others) have pulled off some pretty big things in the past but I do not think this is one of them.And I think perpetuating that only avoids a very REAL issue and danger which is maybe paying less attention to people that are mentally ill and have access to not only guns,but assault weapons and insane amounts of ammo.

I don't think Bush was behind 9/11 I think he knew about it before hand and did nothing to stop it. That was pretty much disclosed during the 9/11 report. Bush had warning after warning after warning. Something was going to happen. I think 9/11 could have been stopped or at least lessened.

I have always been favorable towards Mustaine's tendency to speak out.
I am glad he is willing to speak his mind despite all of these naysayers attacking him.

Also, Youthanasia was his best work, imho. With Countdown being the second best.
