Theres no way of identifying the unidentifiable on the account its just a moving light with no details.

But it sure is possible to make some educated guesses.

Omg i didnt know that there were two ISS.

Because thats sure what i saw if what you said was true.

Nope. Just one. But when the shuttle was docking or leaving it looked pretty cool.

I don't know what you saw though.

Oh please.

Educated guesses does not change the fact that it is still a ufo...

I think your giving yourself too much credit.

Educated guesses can in fact lead to it being an identified flying object, that's pretty much how these discussions are supposed to go. Come to think of it, that's pretty much how science works until you get to application.

How about some kind of drone? I've never seen one on video at dusk or dawn so I could be way off on that.

Key word "can"

It started out as venus then it was a plane now its the ISS.

What's next swamp gas? (Clearly sarcasm but ok?)

Who said it was the ISS?
And it looks nothing like swamp gas.

I did think this may have been Venus but if you watch the video carefully you can see the object is moving quite quickly. I doubt this is a plane, I haven't seen a red orb-like plane in my life. It has no characteristics of that of a plane from what I can see but I am willing to be proved wrong. I'm by no means suggesting this is extraterrestrial, but no-one thus far has debunked it.

Thanks for this video.

Very interesting.

A friendly advice: don't fall in the trap of some "foxes" here on ATS.

Then what is this?

Same thing from my hometown.

Or this?

I think Phage nailed these two videos. First one looks like the ISS (well, it looks like that when it passes over Tucson)....and the second is definitely a weather balloon burst (based on the multiple videos members have posted showing that exact same video).

As for the video in the OP, I'm also agreeing it looks like landing lights. Living close to Davis Monthan Air Force Base, I see planes literally all day long...and planes coming in just after dusk (as shown in this video) look just the same.

Granted, this is just my opinion, but just saying I have seen similar lights and that is what they were.

Everyone says it "looks"like this or that.

You do notice the key words here don't you, "looks like" not it is?

What is the problem with others saying what they think it could be, in fact didn't you do the same thing by saying it looks like what you have seen in your town?

Yup. Your right hahaha. *rolls eyes*

The difference is im not trying to pawn it off as one particular object and say its the truthfully explanation.

Im not saying its anything im saying its UNIDENTIFIED.

Yeah. There's a light. Looks self-illuminated, but that might be because it's still high enough to catch the reflection of the sun. Kind of drifting. Not doing anything really unusual. Then kind of blinks out.

Whatever.

Ok on topic now Haha. *rolls eyes again*

The original video does not bring evidence to come to a conclusion that it is a plane or any other man made object on the account of it being a light in the sky.

It is a non blinking light and is moving. This rules out venus.

It could be a plane but I doubt it because its not blinking.

Therefore I come to the conclusion that it is a UFO based on the factual evidence of the video.

Never said alien, just that the fact is you cannot identify what it is on the video to come to a full conclusion of what it may be.

The ISS looks exactly like a moving Venus (depending on magnitude)

There are a lot of places to find current and future ISS position. I can't find one that allows you to go back in time, though.

There must be some way to do that.

Of course that wouldn't prove what the light is, but it would provide some context for the discussion.

OK. I plugged in the lat/lon coordinates for syktyvkar russia (61.6667° N, 50.8167° E) at heavens above.

It looks like there were 3 ISS flybys on Aug 14, when this video was made.

14 Aug 18:00:39 10° S 18:01:25 11° SSE 18:02:12 10° SE
14 Aug 19:34:59 10° SW 19:36:59 15° S 19:38:59 10° SE
14 Aug 21:11:25 10° SW 21:12:34 11° SSW 21:13:44 10° S

10-15 degrees looks fairly close to where the light in the sky was in the video as well.

ISS passes over syktyvkar

Edit to Add:

Interesting. I just clicked the "Visible only" button, and these 3 passes do NOT show up on the schedule.

Another Edit.

I was looking at the wrong week when I clicked the visible only button. The Aug 14 flybys were indeed visible.

Based on this, my bet is that the light in the video IS the ISS.

Thank you for your input kind sir.

Finally somebody uses data and reasoning to explain what we are seeing.

Instead of using just a guess and expecting people to believe it.

I give you my thumbs up
