With all the doom, gloom, fighting and tale of woe... we sometime need a tale to lift the spirit.

And what better example than Nicholas McCarthy, the one handed pianist who went on to become the first one-handed pianist to graduate from the Royal College of Music.

Click on the link and watch the video... plays beautifully.

It just shows you how powerful the human spirit is, when a person is born with a disability or becomes disabled through an accident they often rise to a higher level, probably higher than if they were abled.
For example Kurt Fearnley Aussie Paralympian who crawled the Kokoda track.
Deff Leppard drummer Rick Allen lost his arms but that didn't stop him playing drums he just modified his kit and plays with his feet instead.
There are numerous instances, when human will overcomes hardship. This is not to lessen your post either. I starred and flagged it. It is a great story, Thank You for sharing.

Great story! I love to see people overcome obstacles like this! If someone can do that and not complain, what have ANY of us got to complain about? The strength and tenacity displayed by this guy is inspiring, for sure!

Thanks for posting!
