Report Video Issue Occupy the Economy Sep 12, 2012 1 City Lights Bookstore Richard Wolff and David Barsamian talked about the economic crisis and argued that it can be traced back to the 1970s, when the economic system shifted from benefiting a vast majority of Americans to one which mostly benefits only the very rich. Mr. Wolff responded to some questions submitted by members of the audience at City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco.

So the Socialists sweep the government in France and said austerity for the masses has to end and raised the tax on the rich from 45% to 75% and then hired 40,000 teaches with the money from the rich.

In 1945 for every $1 the U.S. gov't got in taxes from individuals the U.S. got $1.50 from corporations. Today for every $1 the U.S. gov. gets from individuals the U.S. gov't. gets 25 cents from corporations

A million is chump change these days.

The US is a market economy. Capitalism is merely a factor of the market economy. The founders of the US were fully against allowing bankers to take over the US.

If you want to be a corporate slave then get out of my country, move to the corporate controlled third world nation of your choice.

I just had a great idea (and it solves all our problems)

No one pays any taxes, no on pays for anything......LETS JUST PRINT MORE MONEY and run everything on debt.

AWESOME IDEA!
