That's an interesting point of view. I don't think that's particularly true. There's quite a bit of hard evidence that our Government has intended to do some shady stuff man. Operation Northwoods for instance (off the top of my head). While that never happened, the Joint Chiefs definitely supported it. Scary to say the least.

We know secret societies exist. Masons (not demonizing them, but they are a secret society), Bohemian Grove, Bilderberg. These are all closed, secret groups. Maybe consipracies are formulated there, maybe they aren't, but what does it hurt to discuss it?

The posters in this thread demand proof of something that doesn't exist. That's laughable because logic tells us that if something doesn't exist, it is self evident and is proof in of itself. If an idea doesn't exist, you can't prove that idea never existed, because the idea doesn't exist. Asking for proof that something doesn't exist is a logical fallacy, because it can't be done. It is self evident.

Thus, human kind developed what we know as "the burden of proof" which means that you have to prove that something DOES exist - not the absence of it.

So why exactly do people sit here asking for proof of something that doesn't exist when it should be self evident, and thus a waste of everyones time and energy? One wonders...probably disinformation agents or just ignorant fools.

Ah but that doesn't translate into the government intentionally doing shady things to its entire population.

Go back to the Olympics. Suspose there was a big attack. What would these secret societies gain from it?
Marshal law? The government cannot afford to pay for all the troops.
Another war? Once again you would have to get the people so upset as to agree for more taxes to fund the war.

I've given this thread a little thought since it appeared and I've come to the realisation that I don't have a problem with these outlandish conspiracy theories or those who appear to so desperately peddle them.

Despite the fact that it's like they are connecting the dots on a dinner-plate full of sand - i.e. making pretty pictures out of their imaginations rather than from the natural patterns appearing in the sand - I do get a kick out of reading some of the more whackjob theories. Some are really creative.

It's entertainment, pure theatre, and the more adamant of the theorists are the court jesters. Thanks ATS for giving us someone to point and laugh at. It's not what I'd expected from the site, but it is appreciated. A little humour can brighten even the dreariest day and that makes the world a better place.

The nr. of conspiracy freaks who believe in "false flags" and the Grand Olympic Illuminati Ceremony is approximately 0,0000012% of the entire population. You take your own conspiracy theory too serious, making the mistake to think that "many" people think the same way, what in reality is only a fringe topic amongst other fringe topics, believed by an extremely small number of people.

The fact that you think a "great awareness" of so "many people" actually having prevented an otherwise inevitable "false flag" attack is just one indication for such a delusion.
