Mayans

I was a bit torn between this forum and the Alien section - so please move if not correct.

Anyway - has anyone ever thought this.

The Mayan temples are massive and, correct me if i am wrong, they all have a flat surface at the top of the temple. Could this be landing platforms for the Mayan Gods? (Aliens)

Also, the Mayans almost disappeared without a trace, yes the Spanish had something to do with it probably, but I read somewhere that times got really hard and they began human sacrifice in an attempt to encourage the Gods (Aliens) back to South America. Apparently they were dumping the bodies in water that was actually their drinking supply and that's what finished them off - they must have been desperate for the return of the Gods.

Is it possible that the Mayan Calender that "ends" this year does not represent the end of the world but could signal the return of the Gods? (Aliens)

most of the Mayans died from disease brought by the Spanish. It probably killed off 90% of the people and the rest intermarried with the spanish or were killed or made slaves. So they didn't dissapear genetically, they got absorbed by the spanish to form what we call mexicans today. What did dissapear is there culture.

No... They just had no internet and no tv to make them lazy asses, they actually got stuff done. Look at our buildings tho, empire state building and so on, we have giant structures as well.

just imagine what people will say about use centuries from now. .. only seeing our structures that remain..

if we found something like that of past we would assume it was some god they worshiped. No its just the logo of a chicken company.

Aren't you confusing the Aztecs with Mayans. I thought by the time the Spanish arrived the Mayan culture had vanished.

YEAH ! It was aliens what did it. They couldn't land on flat earth so the Mayans had to help 'em out and build humongous landing platforms. Meanwhile, the Mayans own personal space gods/people/aliens circled the earth waiting for them finish so they could finally land. Once they got to do this they got know humans and didn't like their attitude and decided not to stick around. So they lied their asses off to get out of here alive, jumped back
in spaceships and the Mayans in all their grief shot themselves.

I think the Mayans were talking about the end of one era; and the beginning of a new one. I think they are talking about that mankind will have a more defined choice which road to go down; will it be the choice of uniting together, healing and saving this planet and mankind; or will it be the road of destruction. Which choice will mankind make? And depending on what that choice is...will it be the saving of humanity... or the definite destruction of humanity and earth.

I think if we make the choice of healing and peace; and helping each other; there will be a turn for the better.

I think if humanity chooses the path of destruction with the increasing of greed, wars etc.; then I think that the wrath of heaven will pour down upon earth and all of mankind; (in the form of) massive volcano's erupting; earthquakes; and flooding.

It is really humanities choice what road we go down.

I don't get why people are mystified by ancient temples. If you spend long enough you can build anything. Its only 24m high.

In regards to OP, there are numerous theories of how the Mayans died out common theories are disease and over population (for the environment that they were in). The Spanish only came later and killed most that were left. We will never know what wiped them out for sure, we weren't there and nobody lives that knows.

The Mayan calendar ending doesn't mean anything. Does that mean the earth should be destroyed every year, because our calendar ends every year? I really would hate it if some advanced civilisation in the distant future and found our calendars and thought the world was going to end at the end of a year. There has also been found a longer Mayan calendar.

With most Mayan theories what I don't get is how the Mayans were supposed to know this. Aliens told them? Why aren't they telling us? They figured it out in the stars, are we that # we can't see it?
Also, they can't have built these amazing temples, aliens have to had done it. But they're damn good at knowing when the world is going to end?

ah your right my bad, Mayan collapse happened in 8th century a.d. with the spanish coming when they were already weak and much lower in numbers. The wiki article i read said that it was probably due to drought.

I ALWAYS FEEL THEY THE MAYANS WILL BE SEEN AGAIN So maybe OP maybe. They would be more technologically advanced and moved up the ladder to make room for 1 thinks as well, well those who ASCENDED.

Earth is very old but young compare to many other planets out there
we know that the dinosaur existed.. they were all over the planet
billions in number with many different species
and look how many dinosaur skeleton we have found .. just a few
every 26000 yrs the "gods" return for the big "harvest" before the planet is terraformed
and new species can be born .. a totaly different new world on another 26000 yrs ride
during that time every souls .. animal included even insects
when they died they choose weither or not to be reborn (reincarnation)
but before the big cycle ends .. they bring huge kind of "Noah Arks" space ship
and beam out most of the planet species to transport them on another planet for a while
until earth is okay to return and beautiful once again.. a real physical paradise
thats why our old civilisations (mayan,aztek,hopies,egyptian,sumerian,atlanteen etc)
were so advanced .. because they were from the last cycle (the survivors)
who could possibly live 200 to 300 yrs old
they made sure to let traces of their divine knowledges be written in rocks
so time and erosion would never erase their traces and futur warnings about the end of the cycle
and later they disapear .. possibly ascended because their soul mission was over
the grand price for all souls is ascension .. the evolution of the soul into a god like being
where your soul potential is unlocked at 100%
now this is where it got religious a bit
the reasons why there is so many man made religions to make you go away from spirituality
if you try to ascend and cheat the Creator plans for you (kabal and illuminati)
with their so many sacrifice, blood, urine and occultism ceremony it can unlock a few thing in you
but you will become a fallen angel and will never be able to reach 100%
maybe only 30% and im generous there
the devil (the first fallen angel) is clever and think that if he can trick a lot of people
to sell their souls to him for fame and power
giving them a 30% part of the cake that he will be able to drain the rest (70%)
maybe thinking that he will be able to Ascend and return to heaven
or maybe thinks that if he have enought souls .. he will be more powerfull then the Creator himself
with capturing so many souls that the Creator would have mercy for all of them
because we are after all .. the Creator childrens
rebeling against him would be to deny ourself and live in a illusion circus and a bad dream for eternity

This is why this 21 december is so important
you want so stay and go underground hoping the bunker will resist sleeping in fear
that everything will be okay .. or have Faith
one thing im sure .. one place you dont want to be is underground
it will be their tombs
why the elites is obsessed building underground cities ?

The Mayans are no better or worse than the National Socialists or the extreme left Soviet State- maybe in a thousand years museums will eulogise over the National Socialists?

They were probably flat on top because it was much easier for the leaders to sit up there instead of on the very tip
Also, if I am not mistaken the Mayans were killed off by extreme drought. Though im sure there were plenty of sacrafices as well.

nobody is landing.....cuz nobody is coming. They are waiting for whomever wants to meet them.

We have to go to them.....but it won't be clear how to anyone -- until you see how someone else does it first...that will be more clearly shortly (over the next few years)

A metaphor perhaps works...if you are an adopted child, you have (Foster) parents that raise you and for all intensive purposes are "your parents" -- especially if they adopted you as a baby.

But from these adopted children, which ones wonder who their biological mother / father are? Of these, which ones actually take a serious effort to find them?

So...all of us on earth have biological parents (Known or unknown - as above)....but who wants to meet our original creators? Creators of the human race? Why did they create us? (Kind of like why a parent gave up a baby for adoption) So who will undertake the effort to meet them? Learn about their ENTIRE creation -- which has taken place over a very long time.

Of course, one has to accept that it ain't just Darwin evolution, and that religious explanations / quasi-religious / mythological explanations just don't hold enough water so to speak. These will be rectified shortlly...again over the next few years. Whether one is around to see it, I can't answer that.

Starting with learning about others, history might be a start. Let alone what's going on in the present outside one's current circle of awareness. But history, shmistory for many (Not saying anyone here).... we live in a world of specialization, and that blinds most...

I'm guessing the "unknown"?

I'm not sure but didn't the Mayan civilization disappear (ascend) into higher dimensions? I don't remember where I read that from but basically they were so evolved spiritually that they took the next big step in their progression. Or it's just my over-active imagination playing games on me again...

None of the Mayan temples I have been on have been flat on top. There has been a small Building like structure in the flat area at the top.

The one at Chichen Itza (probably mis-spelled but on a mobile) has a small flat top, I figured its what everyone always refers to when they talk of the mayan temples.
I liked that guys story about our souls, he should turn into a full length fantasy novel.
