Mysteriously Disappearing and/or Appearing Food and Other Objects...anyone else experiencing these

I mentioned before that I know someone who was sleep-eating due to her prescription sleep meds (Ambien). She gained a ton of weight very quickly and couldn't understand why...this woman has had a gastric bypass and can only eat about 1/4 cup of food at a time! The way she found out was her daughter woke up in the middle of the night and found her eating an entire meal she had cooked in her sleep.

I am very thin and have a naturally high metabolism, so I don't know if sleep-eating would be obvious...I never gain weight or lose it save for 2 or 3 lbs every month or so. I do however have reflux and if I were eating in my sleep and then laying back down I would definitely get sick and be in misery after that. I suppose my husband could be sleep-eating...anything is possible...but again, no weight gain and what could have happened to the food wrappers? Unless he is also tidying up and taking out the garbage in his sleep, I just don't think so.

Also, I am a VERY light sleeper. Literally if someone stands next to me while I am asleep I will wake up...my family jokes that I am actually a reincarnated cat, I sleep so lightly. I would know if my husband got up from the bed.

Oh wow....the shoe thing is uber creepy!

Just two nights ago I was doing laundry and as I was transferring clothes to the dryer, I pulled out a men's polo-type shirt, dark grey and very worn, size XL. My husband is about 5' 6" and wears size medium shirts, and also would not be caught dead in a polo shirt, but I asked him about it anyway. He has never seen that shirt either...I tossed it in the trash and I am really really hoping it stays there.

Someone else also mentioned having silverware go missing...I'll have to go back and read whether or not it was spoons. We constantly have to buy spoons because ours routinely disappear, and I am also missing a set of steak knives, a carving knife, a pizza cutter and a ladle...all of which were washed and put away by yours truly into their designated drawers. We are also down to 8 butter knives from 12, and I just now discovered this because I went and counted the silverware. I just washed dishes yesterday evening and I know nothing was missing.

We not only have a bar for the sliding glass door, but a pin mechanism as well, and they are always engaged...we don't use the patio at all except for storage. We also have two bolts and a security chain on the front door. No one is getting in here unless they can teleport or something.

I have offered the same solution. Set up a camera a few nights in a row, in the room that is most active, and you will probably find out who the food caper is.....We set up outdoor surveillance cameras(nasty neighbor reasons), and we got such good footage of this lunatic, to the point the township police asked if they could use some of our footage against this luny in court..lol...

Living by myself, I've had strange clothing appear in my drawers. I'm a nit-picking fool about folding, and placing everything in the exact same place in my drawers....OCD that way too. Plus, own my own washer/dryer never have anyone else using them, just me. No one has access to my home, nor clothing. But, I've still found once, a pair of ratty granny panties...NOT my style, size..NOT mine. And several other times, found old timely high neck lace blouses, with a ton of itty bitty pearl buttons up the front.

Yes, I threw them out immediately, and asked the air around me, to stop putting their clothes, in my drawers.

I'm convinced, there are probably other dimensions, where things, for whatever reasons, cross over sometimes. Maybe a form of temporal bleed-over....

I'm lovin' this thread....some great stories being shared.

One thing you might consider with your missing food is sleep walking. I saw a show the other day about people that sleepwalk and eat not knowing they ever did it. I have never had food disappear but I think I have a remote monster living in my attic or something. The other day I wanted to watch TV and my remote wasn't were I keep it. Over the last 3 days I have literally torn my house apart......it isn't here.....anywhere. This is the third remote I have gone through in the last year.

You have to stop throwing the silverware in the trash when you clear the plates off Learned that from experience, if you are preoccupied it happens.

Place a few cameras in your home. I think you may need to change the locks on your new place and/or check everywhere a hobo could be crashing at your place -- attic, crawl space, old food elevator etc...

You never know! The guy could be pissed you moved into his 'home' and be trying to poltergeist you out of there!

Unbidden things, sometimes come with energy, I'd prefer to not have around. I did think about selling the 2 antique blouses on ebay, but decided to toss them instead.

my hammer disappeared into thin air just yesterday

i remembered putting it down on my deck and about 3 minutes later it was just gone, after looking for a long time i still havnt found it yet today

i was also the only one home for several hours before and after the hammer going missing
