I keep hearing people say, I am going to vote for Romney because he is the lesser of two evils. Well that IMO is totally insane. So people are actually advocating voting for someone who is described as "Evil"?

Personally I think there is no one on the ballot who deserves anyones vote, and anyone who does vote is willing sealing thier own demise. This to me seems completely alien and totally bonkers.

Just my opinion guys.

Politicians are power hungry. They are out for themselves and and no one else.

Democracy would perhaps function better if people who wanted to stand for election were barred from doing so.

It is so difficult and expensive to get onto the ballot that all you end up with are corporate sponsored sock puppets.

Democracy is veiled tyranny and is why the Federal and State levels are not that form of government; at least not supposed to be.

Sadly the People have allowed the culture of "Democracy" to creep into the limelight over the past century and they have forgotten their republican roots. Republican not as the party but as the political structure. A diluted and disseminated Democracy is best but Washington has been on a power grab since the Civil War and has shown that it cares not of its founding principles. Power corrupts but good Men have done nothing since.

Yes, this whole phenomena is why our country is in the sh!tter. Oh derp I'll just vote for the least suckiest, but they still suck. So, you are betting your livelihood on someone that still sucks? Okay... This is how you can tell a majority of the human race is stupid (because it is not just our country).

I've been describing it as restrained evil. You really have two choices. Obama not worried about a second term or Romney actually worried for one. Obama can do whatever he wants for four years with no repercussions. Romney can't if he wants a second term. Obama has been a disaster. I would rather have that disaster leave public office and have a new potential disaster that's scared of what we the people think.

Ron Paul and all the others are off the table. To suggest otherwise a person has to be a complete fool. Romney ans Obama are of the same ilk, but Romney in office will have to watch his ass for the first term. Lets give him that first term, bolster our efforts and line up someone that can actually kick his ass two elections from now.

Do you want Obama with loose reigns or Romney scared to buck? Right now we need to gentle horse. We can pick a winner and we will have four years and experience getting someone worthwhile elected.

Vote Romney. The restrained evil. Your other choice is evil without the shackles.

I'm not voting for either. Some will say I'm throwing my vote away but when the 2 choices are a plate of crap or a bowl of crap I'll pick neither.

Here is the problem with American civics. A lot of people think showing up in November and casting their vote (in what is best described as a poll; the popular vote doesn't matter in the presidency) is fulfilling their civic duty in keeping a Republic.

republic is american english for representative democracy.
The only difference between the US and other western representative democracies is the winner takes all system, that makes it impossible to establish a 3rd party (thus forcing people to choose between two evils)

Totally bonkers, but I've been faced with the same decision for this will be the third time, so bonkerville it is.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil, cannot remember who said that, but I think its true, and not voting just gives a vote to those you don't like.

The entire notion of a human being having been reduced to a simple "this or that" choice is absurd.

If I put a plate chicken # and a plate of dog # in front of you a d say pick one and eat the appropriate response is to get up and walk away. Not contemplate the pros and cons of the different flavors of #.

congressman Jim Renacci of Ohio was telling voters to focus on his and his opponents record this coming election.

I asked him how he could expect his people to focus on voting records when he is supporting the biggest flip flopper ever in Mitt Romney.

His response was " Im focused on Obamas voting record"

cant make this # up

I keep hearing people say, I am going to vote for Romney because he is the lesser of two evils.
He only appears as the lesser of two evils because he hasn't had a chance to show how evil he is yet... and I am willing to bet that man is a hell of a lot more corrupt than Obama. If Romney gets elected people will be saying the exact same thing about Romney at the end of his term. "Oh man Romney turned out to suck balls so badly... we better vote for this other puppet". All these problems could have easily been solved if the US people just opened their god damn eyes and voted in Ron Paul... but only in imagination land is something like that possible.

Okay, so only slightly more "bonkers" than voting for the "lesser of two evils" would truly be to vote for one because you BET the other person is something that you've speculated will turn out to be SOMETHING that you have no foundation to assume he will be. That's weird. And I'm not a big lover of Romney, so I don't care if you said this in the opposite and were applying the silly statement to Obama. It's just really bizarre to say that someone shouldn't vote for a candidate because you BET they are really a secret "bad person".

There is no such thing as the lesser of two evils.

The Republican Party and Democratic Party in the United States of America are one and the very same. It is a well-orchestrated parlour trick that has slowly unfolded over the course of American political history.

I would suggest writing in someone that reflects your ideals.
