My Roomie Needs Help

Hola, folks. My roommate is trying to start an account and (from what she says), she started it with one email address that was mistakenly typed in (wrong domain). She meant to put in something else for the email address so she can't "confirm" it. Problem is, she went to start an account with the correct email but now it says that her user name is taken. Nobody will ever confirm that user account because that email address doesn't exist.

So... is there a "wait time" before she can create an account with her desired user name and email address? Her user name is not actually "taken" because she typed in the wrong email address.

What can she do?

Send me a u2u with the username and correct e-mail address she wants to use.
