U2 floods down downb

I was pretty sure I saw a thread on this problem, but did a search and couldn't find one.

Mods, why in the world do we need to have U2 floods? Lately I have been u2ing a lot and found that I have to wait a long time to post a consecutive U2.

I can understand the deal with post threads, but why U2s?

I am pretty sure frequent U2ers have the same problem. So mods could you correct it?

Because some bright spark once used the U2U function to spam offensive messages to members, so the U2U flood barrier was installed to counteract this.

An example of a bad apple spoiling it for everyone I'm afraid.

Since that bright spark is gone now, can we go back to the days when we had no floods?
