No, sorry. What I meant was, do you think there is a message embedded on the curiosity just in case of "Other beings" encountering the craft/vehicle? I know they sometimes attach plates to these things "Just in case". Or is this a complete dream of mine?

life on earth would be MUCH better if we could just find it through all the freaking lies and deceptions..

anways.. so .. we find life on Mars, (which basically means the elment called H2O).............then what?? we find rocks and mountains.. then what ?

More tax payer $$$ for a project we could be dumping into our economies for science, industry and infrastructure and makeing the world a better place to live besides the S***hole that we ravaged by the trash we leave behind from out consuming.

Pareidolia is not proof. Overzooming images and applying "filters" is not proof. Claiming airbrushing is not proof.
What else ya got? Any science?

I was speaking in general not to anyone in particular, regarding the material i've sent here no filters have been applied, every pixel is intact i only zoomed up on the area in question to show more clearly the right angles of the possible structure and the two vertical lines. Notice i never said hey look this is proof, this is a structure. As for Pereidolia this can only apply to those who see something then claim it to be 100% so without any real hard evidence.

This really is an amazing feat. What will be more amazing is when we have a joint interntional mission to either Mars or some of the moons around Jupiter and Saturn. Hope I live long enough to see it

No, it applies to thinking there may be a structure when there is none.

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant.

The image is distorted due to the short focal length of the lens

here is an example.



The problem on here is that many members have little or no understanding of photography and how things like focal length of the lens can effect the image seen.

Thats why we have so many BS threads on here from members that don't have a clue and think they see something!

The main reasons the tech seems "old" is that it has to A: be hardened against direct sun light and charged particles while also surviving extreme conditions, B: last a long time and to not fail as parts cannot be repaired or replaced and C: bandwidth constraints.

8MP is more then enough with the right sensors for the main cam, and 720p video will be absolutely amazing to watch. The reason the hazard cams are black and white and of low resolution is to primarily conserve battery life.

So anybody want to chime in on these artifacts on the far right? I was watching the live feed and when they first showed this photo everyone in the room went "woooooow" .

Then in the questions section, a lady asked Adam (One of the team members) what the secret was he said he'd tell her. Little coincidental?

These are just the hazard cameras in the front and the back of the rover to make sure it didnt land on anything damaging.

The REAL camera is yet to be put into place.

This camera will be color photo along with panoramic style imaging.

i just wanted to give people on here, another chance to read what you said. We care more about "out there" than we do "in here". WE ARE PATHETIC. This is no feat......this is USELESS CRAP! Who cares about Mars....when we live on EARTH; and EARTH is being destroyed, by the same people checkin' out Mars. It's like...who cares about Iraq, when we live in America. Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with us.
