On a serious note... it depends on which forums you choose to meet from... the political ranting baffoonery forums you will get the argumentative "I'm right you're wrong" type of person on every aspect of life... a pro and a con.... you meet up with someone from the alien conspiracy forums you'll be in a group of a buncha nutjobs who are constantly thinking something out of this world is about to happen.... one morning you wake up to find all your camping stuff is in the river because the Annunaki told him while you were sleeping that they cannot touch water and they plan to invade on a specific time o_O I find that to be a pro and a con

You meet up with survivalists from the SHTF OMG WHAT TO DO forums... don't be surprised to find a knife to your neck in the morning because the paranoid dilusional survival of the fittest freak wants your twinky....

it goes on and on... apply the "it comes with the territory" complex accordingly and you'll get the picture... meeting up with me... I'm more of the realist/idealist/individualist and my cup of tea mixes with most... or doesn't... whichever flavor you prefer

I recently joined the site and have found myself starting off my account with -1,000 points for something that I can't even see too make sure I don't do it again. Lol. We should start a thread of our own. The ATS underground.

I can't make heads nor tails of what your trying to achieve.

I would like to see a group gathering to meet each other, however as many have mentioned there is a diverse group of people from across the globe, many have like minds in different ways and levels. I would consider if a group gather were to occur it would be tagged a antarchist gathering and be taken down.

Thats the lto thing I would not wish start a revolt group. its about being pre-prepared if and when chaos begins. if you knew who your looking for or a place to go to gather as survivalist of a apocoliptic situation, just trying to make an agreeable place would be target as a revolt place, understand?

a more effective manner is the pre-emptive mindset... those who "pre-prepare" have the highest rate of surviving... so a pre-emptive meetup would be more effective then a... LETS GO MEET UP AFTER THE FACT... ya know?

Trying to survive with a group of ATS members would be a death sentence. Not the most cohesive community now that the right wing conservatives have taken ATS over with their divisions of "people like you" and themselves.

And the MODs would have would have a ban hammer festival that would look like the Spanish Inquisition.

Think I'd rather just take my chances. Should I stumble across some of my more *ahem* grounded partners in ATS crime, it would be a welcome sight, otherwise I'd likely end up the first one burnt at the stake.

I just want to say, in case this thread does get closed, that I think it's a wonderful idea. Match.com or any other means of establishing live groups so that if shtf, then we have someone we know is up-to-speed on what's going on, whereas on the other hand, we're stuck with mass herds of sheeple heading to the nearest Mark location to get their "free, customizable, painless installation of an RFID chip and respective barcode, available for a limited time only!"

Yes, I think I'd like to find the nearest ATS convention, thanks. I'm glad someone proposed the idea.
