I know a teacher who works in the Bronx and she left a comfy job at what you would call a private elite school. She wanted to work in the city so that she could change lives. Wouldn't you know it, she gave up because the kids have no motivation to learn. The kids have no books in their home, they have no family structure to look up to and if they have someone to look up to chances are its a drug dealer, gang leader, or someone who has been in jail at least once in their lives. This is all the choices that black people make!

She got discouraged when first graders didn't even care that they couldn't read the alphabet or even know what their own real first name was. They cared more about what was happening on the street and if their brother, sister, father would make it home alive...They wanted to join them or help them. They are brainwashed for street stuff the minute they are born!

I was born in a good area sure, but I learned how to read before first grade! I learned basic math skills every summer before and during school. My parents would make me take a summer course that they set up. They helped me learn, and above all that I do have a speech impediment! I was NOT supposed to talk until first grade. I was not supposed to be able to say much at all. I was not supposed to survive my second birthday. But I became the first person in my family to graduate from college!

Yes, it's appears to be another "programs that help minorities discriminate against whites" type thread. Oddly, when whites have an advantage, no such threads appear protesting discrimination against other groups.

Although I get the premise behind this and would be absolutely comfortable that they target inner city areas where the poverty levels are low but like most people I do take issue to it just focussing on african americans because the order itself is a bit misleading..one might think that this just deals with education at a k-12 environment and it's much more far reaching...because it's so much more far reaching and really ignores other races that are in jail and limits their opportunity for a second chance...some of the categories are a bit subjective,,such as drop outs getting preference, children that are gifted or talented???? This type of language may really divide folks...

(c) Interagency Working Group.

(1) There is established the Federal Interagency Working Group on Educational Excellence for African Americans (Working Group), which shall be convened and chaired by the Initiative's Executive Director and that shall support the efforts of the Initiative described in subsection (b) of this section.

(2) The Working Group shall consist of senior officials from the Department, the White House Domestic Policy Council, the Department of Justice, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and such additional agencies and offices as the President may subsequently designate. Senior officials shall be designated by the heads of their respective agencies and offices.

It's interesting to note the departments involved which include the Department of Defense..

I don't care about entitlement programs. I don't care that it targets white people. I care about the why and the how this law came to be and it is because Obama surrounding himself with White hating black men throughout his entire life!!!!! That's the reason this law exists. Obama doesn't know what he is doing here. He doesn't know that he is effectively targeting white kids more than black kids for no reason at all!!!! I am only analyzing why this law even exists.

The problem lies with black society right now. This is just another entitlement program they can fall back upon and its sickening. No new laws are going to make black people more successful than white people. That's up to them!

Can't get mad at people for not wanting to be informed...people are who they are...I guess the issue here is that in my opionion this is going to be used to energize the base...my bigger issue is the lack of hispanics being noted in this bill or lets just focus on the poverty level in general and let the chips fall where they may..I do suspect this will impact the salary of teachers in certain areas however I'm not quite sure that the union will be ok with that...truthfully I'm ok with good teachers getting a greater salary to bring up lower performing areas with strict monitoring of course...correctional education really suprised me because there are a whole lot of asians and mexicans along with white in jail and this really puts them at a disadvantage...the flip side not hearing much from the other side so I'm left scratching my head...I think we can all discuss these types of post without getting into a race fight...bottom line we all want the best for America and regardless we should never disrespect our president, disagree yes but disrespect no..and folks may see this as something to seperate the races but I see this as party politics and it's coming down to the wire....the funds still have to be negotiated or voted on...he's got a way to go and this yet again will push more hispanic voters to Romney...
I wonder what our landscape will look like in two hundred years with all the mixed marriages going on now...who will be the minority then..let me also pose the question, if whites are steadily becoming the smaller population will we eventually become a miniority group? Blacks are no "trapped" in the ghetto than I am trapped in plainfield indiana. They are free to move anytime they want. mcdonalds will hire anyone, you can rent an apartment on mcdonalds wages, ergo you can move. Anywhere you want any time you want. This trapped notion is rediculous, move here to plainfield indiana. We will welcome you. However leave your ghetto pass etc in the ghetto, our local PD are enthusiastic about law and order. So follow the rules no problems, don't and you will get to visit our lovely county jail, in neighboring danvville/avon indiana. There are many blacks around here, I would say at least an average amount. Everyone in my town gets long pretty well as long as you are law abiding, sell drugs or gang bang, or steal or kill though and it is your ass guaranteed. Hendrix county is known for being strict, but farf safer than Indianapolis, 7 miles up the road. Which is actually a pretty safe city considering its size.

So in closing, if your black and feel trapped in your ghettoo. Apply at mcdonalds, save enough to drive here, transfer to this mcdonalds, apply for an apartment, most around here will work with you on paying the deposit since poor people have a hard tikme coming up with 1200 dollars up front for deposit and first months rent. Then you will havve safely transplanted yourself and family to a nice midwestern town, where you and yours might find some more hospitable accomodations.

I just keep seeing people cmplaining in these threads that blacks don't have a choice. I just gave you one, and I even planned it all out for you. If you do this you can move here, and start a different life. Indiana is a nice place to live, that's why I am here with my family. There are close local jobs, as in less than 5 miles no matter you skill set. The only stipulation I have made or will make is. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU LIKE TO SLANG ROCKS,GANGBANG,ETC..... the police here, though almost always fair in my oppinion, are very diligent, and very enthusiastic about keeping this community safe. Law breakers get to visit our lovely county jail situated in danville/avon. Right next to the national guard armory.

My community welcomes evvery single race/religion, we have all kinds around here, and they all play together at the very nice clean open parks, along with getting a top notch education in our 4A schools. They will have access to our extraordinary library, with almost half the mian common area being devoted to childrens reading and computer education. With an amazing selection of classics and new age fiction and nonfiction, if they don't have it they can obtain it from one of the many other libraries in their network.

Stop being a victim, change your life and your childrens future. Move here to Plainfielf Indiana, you will be able to find work, you will be able to pay yojr bills, you will have a safe school with great teachers to educate your kids. You won't be able to gang bang, sell drugs, or be violent though, or our very enthusiastic officers will reserve a bunk. Foryou in county.

You are hammering on about the "Black family unit", but what you don't realize is this is just the normal american family unit today. Most kids white and black are being born out of wedlock.Heck, when I was growing up I was only of 10 people I knew who parents hadn't divorced. I'm freaking rare here in the south cause I'm 30, only have one kid and I'm still married to the same man I married years ago. Most women have 3 kids and 2 husband by now. Times change, people have stopped getting married.

As for the executive order, I don't agree with making it about black or white. It should just be about improving inner city and rural schools. Those who have never seen rural schools would be shocked at how uneducated some whites can be too.

I'm a red head white person, did you know in the 1700's and 1800's red heads was thought to be the spawn of the devil? red heads was treated like a outcast in some cases being slaves and other cases that lead to getting put on a stake and burned alive. a hanging would be a treat compared to burned at the stake. If you are talking about, "most of America," when talking about the black community you need to increase that factor. Whatever it is. Let's say you are talking unemployment. While unemployment for Most of america stays at 8.3% the unemployment in the black community is now at a 15% high!

Black salaries are lower because they take lower paying jobs because, while most of America gets a college degree most black people don't!

So I think that there is no black family unit. Even Obama didn't have his father around. I would say 95% of black people are born into this poor structure. 4% become successful and 1% escape and become the elites or republican when they realize they don't need the gov't to help them. The black community shuns them.

I'm in agreement with the OP for the most part. I think just about everything he pointed out was spot on, I've been saying similar things literally since I was like 15 years old. ANd I think what he's talking about is America's biggest problem. Taking care of people who don't care about anything themselves. It's coddling of already spoiled children. First and foremost: "Systems of Arbitration"; Systems of Arbitration are systems that Deliberately put Human in conflict with other Humans. It is expressly illegal by common law, which is the Law of the Land in America...and yet it is done all the time.

I am well aware of the stigma I am in. "Being against the minority is being for the elites." Well, I don't really care what people see me as or jumps to conclusions about who I am and what agenda I supposedly have. Obama is turning the US into the new South Africa and many of us know how well that turned out with collapsing infrastructure, businesses leaving, smart people leaving, AIDS, rampant poverty and the most violent country on earth short of a war zone with the highest numbers of murders, rapes and other violent crime. After 1994, South Africa was run by the ANC, a black Marxist terrorist body that through the IMF, brand named Mandela (another terrorist turned meat puppet) as its spokesperson.

What Obama is doing with this new executive order is telling us he pities American Blacks, rather than respects them. The more group politics proponents push at this point in the game, the more reaction and pushback they will receive. During times of economic hardship, people start pulling out the world's tiniest violins. Its time for blacks to give up group politics and embrace individualism. The more they see themselves as a group, tied together, the more they (the ones who adhere to this philosophy anyway) will be dependent and thus, failures. I do see more African Americans denying Obama's attempts to destroy their freedom and that of all Americans. And that is a good thing for them and America.
