whats even more amazing is that you posted this without actually looking around for other threads on the subject. this picture, and the mars face, are probably the most well known of the mars pics and have been analyzed to death. time and time and time again.

i don't see a women , but i certainly see what seems to be a statue of something human-like

I know it's old and everyone's seen it many times, especially the statue that this photo is famous for, but personally i only just noticed the other 'head and shoulders' in the photo and thought someone else may not have noticed it either.

This is very well known NASA Photograph PIA10214, the figure to the right all of you are freaking out about is widely known and was first pointed out by Andrew Basiago in his paper The Discovery of Life on Mars, published in 2008. The figure the OP is pointing out is something new that they believe also to be a figure....and taking for granted you all have seen this photo before.

How can you tell it's a woman and not....batman?

What a shame these smoking gun anomalies are always slightly too far away to make out or only present in compressed images exhibiting artefacts....

...I was just going to say that I think, though it may be light hearted, that a few people on here are missing the point. I'm certain the OP is aware of the statue (and yes, I do think it is) on the right, as it's really famous and they called it "that" photo.
But, if he/she wants to discuss any other rock/formation on the same picture, that's fine and deserves to start a thread about it.
(There's a MASSIVE HQ version of PIA10214 on the web somewhere OP, you should d/l it and have a look)
Having said that, it probably has been discussed, being so near the "lady" and as people have reported spotting everything from dragons to giant skulls to armadillo creatures in the same shot, they've probably seen your figure too.
It's all good fun and quite a mesmerising landscape, which some here might not have seen before.
I've forgotton my point now.... nevermind....
