Already addressed, ask you Gov, not me!

Really guys, I do try my best to be a good sport and reply to all, but can we stop repeating and repeating, PLEASE!

If you are a US citizen you are your government. And you brought it up.
So you should be able to address it.

Well, I'm from the UK, so I can't help you there! Lol.

So a US citizen is its own Government? LOLz that deserves its own thread

Go make one!

What, you never heard about the American revolution?
I suppose your queen would see you as an inferior race to herself and extended royal family.
Since they call themselves blue-bloods and you are subject to them.

First step to recovery is admitting they control every single bit of it as you can see you weren't even thinking about race until they triggered you.

They even drop hints of truth to you-
Ex: Obama says you didn't build that....he means that literally-
You haven't had original thought for 10s of thousands of years. The Sooner you come to grips with it the faster you can begin the trek back to original source.

Too late, you did

And its clear that you have a hard time coming to grips with your own world view.
Whether you think its wrong or right, you sure dont seem to understand it too well.

What else do you expect? This has been going on in media for the longest. It's complete nonsense. They controlling elite want to keep the masses seperate and at war with eachother.

If Americans ever stopped this way of thinking, and looked past skin color, and white, blacks, hispanics all came together as "Americans", it would be a bad day for the ruling elite.

the Olympics are after all about representing your people and nation at the highest level of competition in the world.

And her people are African?
You are positive she has no European or Asian ancestry in her blood?
What do you base that on, the 1/4th rule or something?

It's very sad, but they have a deep connection with this political ideology

Thats possible. But Im just planting that seed.
Its in her head, and it will grow over time.
Might take years, but at least its there.
Either way she cant go on feigning ignorance
to all the arguments that have been presented.

Unbelievable people are still wanting to deny this girl the honor of being the first African American to accomplish something no other African American had accomplished before her.

Disgusting that some of you get upset and uncomfortable hearing about African American's successes.

The first African American President and now a African American gold medalist in gymnastics....the racists world is shattering around them...but they won't die quietly...they have to spout disgusting rants till the very end.

So which is it now?

Separating us to control us or unify us to control us?

I read through a couple of pages to guage the reaction to your thread and would guess by now you have become painfully aware that commen sense and reason are not something you try to apply to todays racial division. For every one like you there are 5 "shills" out there that will attack any thought of people getting along and .....heaven forbid become united, this is the agenda of socialism witch has nothing to do with race but the division and chaos of the people. The fact we have a black president just allows them to use black people to fuel there agenda.

Nice try and if you just get through to 1 person you have beaten the agenda of the progressive socialist who's only chance to win is to keep people divided. What ever you do don't get discouraged.......................then they have won.

Unbelievable people hiding behind the term African-American when they are too ashamed to say Negro or ex-Slave.

Arguing semantics here... this girl is too young to be an ex-slave, so it's not true (saying it is just being silly), especially considering she is an Olympian, chances are she has had a very privileged life to be able to dedicate it to gymnastics... and we're not using the word negro because it has derogatory connotations (and to use it would have racist undertones), in fact you're the first person to bring it into this thread. Funnily enough, the term 'n-word' has been co-opted by certain subsets of black communities to refer to each other, but when used by others is still viewed as derogatory ... funny how terms change uses over time and in different groups... I find social linguistics quite interesting.

Also, these weren't the terms highlighted in the OP.

African American is the term used in the OP, so is the phrase being discussed here. It is also a term adopted by black communities to describe themselves, and doesn't generally carry negative connotations. African Americans are quite proud to be African American, as it was a term developed by their particular sociological subset, not labeled onto them by a class or race of people that used to see them as lesser.

I would be interested to know what the heritage of the ones yelling loudest in this thread and calling racism are? The only proclaimed African American that I have read in this thread was proud of Gabby's achievement, and the fact she was African American.

Are you all saying that we shouldn't use any labels to define anyone? Even those that people use to describe themselves?

But she IS African American.

Have you asked her how she feels about it before speaking on her behalf?

What if she is proud to say "Im the first African American woman to do this"...

If thats the case, your tottally raining on her parade.

(Just an alternative view point, In my opinion, your drawing more attention to the fact, than the commentators did)

This exactly. I can imagine it would be an honour to be the first African American medalist in any category. Why is mentioning that fact so offensive to some people??

...You sound pretty sure of yourself...

I was just watching some replays from the London Olympics... and heavens forbid, an Australian table tennis athlete was referred to as being of Chinese descent!!!

How dare they! They are trying to divide us... again!!! Oh my!

Obviously she is an Australian only, and doesn't have any Chinese descent (at least, based on the opinions of some in this thread).

The fact is that people are a combination of many attributes... age, gender, nationality, race, height, etc...

There is nothing wrong with highlighting these attributes, especially when a country such as the US has many very distinct racial subsets, one of which carries a deep history connected to it... more-so than many other subsets of the world.

So then what makes it so special that she won a gold medal ?
Because she trained harder? Her talent? Or the color of her skin?

What on earth has socialism got to do with any of this?

Is there some sort of hidden, secret socialist agenda at work here?

Too much paranoia.
