Banks loved giving loans to high risk people. Why? Because of deregulation. Here is how it worked. Banks were allowed to sell mortgages to investors. (because of deregulation) Then there was no incentive to make safe loans. Add to that the fact that the regulatory agencies were so crippled that they routinely graded loans as AAA without adequate research. So investors were glad to buy. It was in the banks best interest to acquire as many mortgages as possible ( even if they were high risk) so they could sell more mortgages and make a profit.

It is amazing that the sheeple would believe what the elite told them, that is wasn't Wall Street and international investors that caused the financial collapse, it was the poor! Unbelievable!

Hey, i just choose not to vote. Why the hell would i vote for people,

Jay-morris , suppose an election was between Hitler and Nixon ( or any other universally despised president ). You would call me a sheeple because I voted for Nixon? I would do almost anything to make sure Hitler did not get elected!
Now, I am not saying that Romney is as bad as Hitler. I am saying that I am emphasizing my point that voting for the lesser of two evils is vital for keeping my country on life support.
Obviously, I would want a better president then Obama. However, that ( for the next 4 years at least) is not going to happen. I was once like you ( I am guessing that you are young) and believed in "all or nothing". Unfortunately, as time went by I realized that that philosophy does not work in the real world.

I am 36, and to be honest, i dont think age has anything
to do with it. Both of them are war hungry, one of the reasons
why america are where they are now. And yes, pointless wars,
that have killed thousands of people, including americans. I would
not, and will not vote for these criminals. If that means i will not vote,

Don't take my word for it but RP = RP, Ron Paul is the Ross Perot of 2012. Clinton won in 1992 with less than 50% of the popular vote tahnks to RP. I see the same old arguments already starting up from the OP's opine on the state of things as he seen it. I tend to agree with a major part of it and is the reason I am also voting for President Obama's re-election.

One of the roots of the problem is that we can't seem to talk to each other anymore. When politics get involved we always end up arguing and insulting each other. Until we learn how to respect one another opinions and respect each other as fellow human beings there will be no fixing of government or society. Society reflects who we are and right now we, as a whole are like kids stomping about because we aren't getting our way. This has to stop and we all need to get on the same page, or at least a great majority of us need to agree on some of the very basics before it is reflected into society.

Once we learn how to talk to each other then we can possibly regain power over our institutions which have been corrupted greatly. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the effort and should just crash like other great societies in history. After all, it is getting to the point that the energy involved may be to great to save. Then I get to thinking that the very people that would need to fade in history would be the ones that survive while most innocent perish. Believe me friends and neighbors, out of those ashes would rise a knowledge that would make sure they get it right this time. It would be a THX-1138 next time.

I keep thinking of that quote by Edward Mandell House to Woodrow Wilson. Don't even know if this quote is real but the words ring true enough to me.

Real or not they are quite powerful words but the true horror in them is realizing that it just may be a real quote.

I am voting for President Obama because I believe him to have a more populous view than Romney. Romney would just make Edward House's words, real or not, true. I think eventually we will be all the way there but President Obama will continue applying the brakes to that reality. Even if it is just brakes and not reversal, it won't advance us in that check mate as fast as a Romney presidency would.

Of course that is all my opinion. I just believe we need to learn to respect each other first because all we are is a nation that talks passed each other. We need to learn to talk to each other first before anything else will ever happen. Divide and conquer isn't just a hypothesis, it is a genuine tactic. There has to be some simple ground rules that most of us agree on before anything gets done.

My hope is very slim on that BTW. I think we are doomed lol.

BTW, I am not throwing my vote away for by going for ROMNEY, he is a life-time member of the NRA. Obama will enact his TRUE AGENDA IN HIS 2ND TERM. Take my word.

I doubt that Obama has a true agenda. I wish that he did. Supposedly, he is a progressive or even a Socialist. That’s absurd! He is one of the elite capitalist’s best friends.

As for guns, Obama and Romney don’t care one way or the other, its all politics. Seriously, do you think that even if every American owned a gun, we could fight off tanks, jets, surveillance, smart bombs? It would be like Napoleon’s army going up against our modern army. It would be grand and glorious but ultimately futile.What do the elite care if we have guns? All they care about is maintaining their wealth and power.
Obama at one time was one of us. At least there is a chance that he still has some empathy for where he came from. With Romney, there is no chance of him even remotely understanding the average American.

Ban won't happen for the simple fact there are people out there that would make the nighty news if you came to get their weapons.

I believe that is the real reason why gun bans won't happen in this country.

It's much, much easier to control 1,300,000,000+ people w/o guns (CHINA), than to controll 300,000,000+ people w/ guns (US). How can the US military "tactically" fight off its own people with all those guns, furthermore...would US military turn on their "own" people...GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

If you want to pay more taxes vote for Romney. If you want to pay less taxes vote for Obama. Spending? If you want worse schools, roads, police protection etc, vote for Romney. It is amazing that the elite can convince the sheeple that more taxes (for us and less for them) and fewer services are good for them!
We are the 1# country in the world. And just like a citizen of the Roman Empire that feels good. Good propaganda always has an element of truth in it. The elite use that to make us feel like we are one of them. We are not!

And YES, Obama takes contributions from the elite but as I proved Romney has vastly more of their support. As I made clear in my OP, I am not an Obama fan. However, compared to Romney he is a saint!

If a Republican is for it, Ryan wants it. If Obama wants the exact same thing Ryan is against it!
