Hi!

I finished writing this folk song today. I have a good folk tune for it, too. I sing it to acoustic guitar. Will be recording it soon.

I write very much in the spirit of the old Greenwich folk scene in New York. The civil rights music from there is my very favorite.

I worked hard on this. Just wanted to share it with some of you guys in the U.S obviously because that is the genre of my music and from where my influences originate.

I am sharing this in a spirit of peace and gentility, just to offer a good vibe to ATS.

Still A Stone
(A Song in C major)

Verse

I’ve been on human rights parades

Among the crowds that cared

I heard the bombs fall from the skies

Pass by agreeing eyes that stared

At death, approving voices praised

With patriotic prayer

There is one thing that I know for sure

There’s blame for all sides to share.

Chorus

Your heart stays as still as a stone

No matter where your legs might roam

And with all the blood they shed in this life

Our hearts stay as still as the stones.

Verse

One man’s terrorist is always another’s hero

We know that much is true

How long must men keep taking sides?

Is that all human beings can do?

To waste all resources on waging wars

On killing machines, one day you’re the victim then it's me

As long as the rider on that pale horse rides

Mankind will never be free.

Chorus

Your heart stays as still as a stone

No matter where your legs might roam

And with all the blood they shed in this life

Our hearts stay as still as the stones.

Verse

The vanity of man that he tries to divine

From the ramparts and terraces

Who say they know hid in fortresses

Surrounded by countless enemies

Is this nature and part of our destiny?

The very heart of each man

Through each generation to shed his brother’s blood

Slain by Cain’s very hand.

Chorus

Your heart stays as still as a stone

No matter where your legs might roam

And with all the blood they shed in this life

Our hearts stay as still as the stones.

ps; my guitar comes from Nazareth, U.S.A (A Martin)

*(from a band member/Billboard Magazines TOP 100 groups of all time-copyright owner as author and composer-lyricist)

Great DAY in the MORNING! Finally. A copyright? Ive been trying to get people to understand theft of intellectual property, authored, composed or written music. Good luck

Dont stop writing..it is a genuine gift. Take opinions from everyone...but follow and listen to your herat.

PS I went thru all the 60's protest era as a musician and activist
