Obama truth Team: What Romney’s experience meant for Americans

Under Romney Bain's investments led to thousands of laid off workers.

Romney while at Bain was responsible for some of the firms that grew into the largest outsourcing companies in history.

Olympic Lobbyist

“You’ve got well over $1 billion that’s just a rip-off of the taxpayers, and, you know, is really a national disgrace … Actually, there should be a federal investigation.”—Sen. John McCain

Record breaking expense under Romney's leadership the Salt Lake Olympics got more federal cash than any other Olympics and cost taxpayers $1.3 billion.

Pet projects: Romney used the unprecedented amount of taxpayer money on unnecessary projects, including $30 million for parking lots, $2 million for sewer systems, $500,000 for planting trees, and $4.7 million on upgrades to post offices.

So, you don't want us to vote for the failure of a state....

...just to put the failure of a nation back in office?

I don't get it.

And what have we got under obama?

CRICKETS...........................................................

I thought so

yeah both candidates suck honestly but I'll still take a romney presidency over an Obama presidency any day just on general principle. ANyone who believes that successful people wouldn't be successful without government help is just an idiot.

Between that and dreams of my father No one should feel comfortable reelecting this whack job.

If Bain and Tax Returns that all indicate Romney was successful within the rules and bounds of the businesses he's been in are all there is, then they will have one heck of a time getting a re-election.

The nation desperately needs a businessman, not a community organizer and not particularly any Military genius. The economy is in slow collapse with no visible bottom on this abyss. We need the very best businessman we can get and nothing less. In the real world, I'll have to figure Mittens comes closest.

The 'Scandals' prove what I'd call his strongest virtue.

The powers that be will put their man in there and you can vote or not . George Soros wouldn't be spending all that money on that Communist unless he was sanctioned by the Bilderberg/ Rothschilds bunch. With the votes said to be counted by the NWO UN bunch in Spain who do you think will win ? reply to post by PromiseKept2016

If you can honestly say that spending money on sewer systems is unnecessary in that situation, you'll be hard to take seriously on any other subject.

I mean SEWERS, ya gotta have sewers, what's the matter with you?

So what? That's nothing compared to Michelle Obama's clothing allowance for the year.

Parking lots were/are needed.
Sewers were/are definitely needed.
Trees are always needed, not just for looks, but for life giving oxygen.
Post Offices will probably always be around, so they need to be kept up.

Now, compare that to a $6,500 piece of cloth used to cover M.O's sagging upper torso for a few hours, probably never to be worn again. Add that to every other countless outfit she has that costs more than a month's wages for one of us "Average people", not to mention the exclusive jewelry that she "just has to have" to complement her clothing. Then again, she does need to look good for all of her lavish, money is no object vacations that she takes with her entourage, all paid for by us.

I would rather have the Parking lots, Sewers and Trees, thank you.

Romney is a businessman, evidently a very good one at that. I would rather him try to fix our nation, rather than someone who's only resume highlight is from being a Community Organizer in one of the most corrupt cities in the country.

Obama has had 4 years to do something truly productive that benefits all of us as Americans. Rather, it has turned into 4 years of uncontrolled spending, war, deceit and hopelessness. This time, we really do need a change, lest America become American't.

Dear stanguilles7,

I salute you.
I never would have thought that ideas so foolish could come from anywhere but an individual's head. The fact that this is an official attack by the re-election team lowers Obama in my estimation.

Again, great checking, an example to all of us.

With respect,

Let's cut to the chase and call a pig a pig for a change. You know that , now where did I hear it, Change we can believe in. If your an election cheerleader, well cheer on but you might as well know a little simple truth about "Elections" in The USA since 2000. The day they made us use the electronic voting machines, that was the day you were playing a video game when you cast your vote. Your vote is meaningless, unless it is for the candidate the Powers That Be have decided upon. That machine is dishonest and that's why they use it.

Don't bother telling me it saves time and money. Neither are applicable. An honest election requires an honest count .
If you played a hand of blackjack for a $1,000.000 dollars of your own money and the dealer looked at your cards for you and said "Sorry, you lost" and shuffled your cards before you could see them, would you just walk away and feel like you had your chance?

If Obama is elected again, it won't be because of Romney. It'll be because Obama supporters couldn't care less how many people he murders for oil.

Record breaking expense under Romney's leadership the Salt Lake Olympics got more federal cash than any other Olympics and cost taxpayers $1.3 billion.

I also wanted to note something on this. It's real important because some numbers are real easy to misconstrue as showing something they aren't. We're all interested in accuracy, right?

The true cost of staging the 2012 Olympics is five times the figure given when London won the bid in 2005.

A Sky investigation has revealed the final cost for the Games will be more than £12bn.

However, associated costs could make the bill as high as £24bn - a staggering 10 times the original estimate.

The £12bn cost of the Olympics, calculated by Sky, does not include extra counter-terrorism funding of £1.131bn being allocated to the police despite a ministerial statement saying "much of this capacity will be devoted to the Olympics in 2012".

Nor does it include the £4.4bn budgets of the security and intelligence services.
Source

All things being considered, it sounds like Mitt got us a deal by comparison to this one. I'd imagine China was no bargain either, although I didn't look there. You mentioned the Olympic Games at SLC though. While I understand there were scandals which seems typical these days, overblown budgets didn't seem to be one of them by any relative comparison to the norm today.

I'll also say I was driving through SLC regularly before this all happened and the changes they made to the Interstate alone were wonderful and very badly needed. Just my two cents,.
