Police arrested a 19-year-old mother who they say ditched her baby in a shopping cart after she got caught stealing at an Ocala Walmart.
In surveillance video, Allison Niemeyer is seen running through the store parking lot, followed by her sister, Laura. Police said they left behind Niemeyer's 1-year-old son.
"When the loss prevention officer asked her, 'Are you going to come get your child?' she said, 'It's not my child.' And she continued to leave, and they both abandoned the baby," said Maier.
Police said Niemeyer was on probation, serving 10 years of house arrest for her role in another crime. "She committed a home invasion, a robbery, a very serious case. And she was pregnant actually at the time of that home invasion," said Maier.

The boy was put in the custody of the Department of Children and Families and police started searching for his mother and aunt. It took more than 24 hours before police found the Niemeyer sisters and arrested them outside of a local dance club, according to the Gainesville Sun.
The Niemeyer sisters were each charged with felony child neglect and retail theft. Allison was also charged with violating her probation; she's under house arrest until 2021 for a 2010 home invasion with a firearm, media reports said...
