Bizarre correction from Obama here at 0:55 onward of the video



The actual figure is reported as the $70 million Obama first voiced.

Mr. Obama also noted the U.S.’s funding this week of an additional $70 million for Israel’s missile defense system, which the administration had announced months ago.

The message seems clear though, a blank cheque for Israel, no matter the consequences.

70 billion dollars....

What does it matter how much you spend, you will just restsrt the printing press and take down any government that dares to change their reserve currency from the dollar.

This fawning to Israel over a few votes is bizarre to me. Surely no-one in the US gives a # about Israel? This election is about domestic issues?

Yes and no one seems to have the heart to step in and remind him of the true figure ($70 million). This money will help fund the Iron Dome project, which keeps Israels qualitative edge over its enemies in the region. Namely Hamas & Hezbollah.

Rather than protecting Israeli citizens however this could just fund a dangerous arms race as H & H look for better missiles and Israel feel comfortable to attack the two with this shield in place

Someone else quickly cued him on to correct the figures.

They probably called this together quick before it got out that its more blood money to keep killing Palestinians till they're extinct, and eventually fire Israel's nukes on Iran.
