This is my first post, but felt this significant enough to post.
Was watching the pre-opening ceremony of the Olympic flame being carried down the Thames on the HMS Gloriana down the Thames, and an accompanied by
bells ringing out up and down the UK in churches and hands.
As this is also the year of HRH the Queens Jubilee, I stumbled across a hymn that was written in totality in 1887 by Daniel de Marbelle which is
called WHEN THEY RING THE GOLDEN BELLS, see here:

Also 1887 was the year of Queen Victoria's Jubilee which was also both joyous and tragic...
Notice the authors own confession: "For years I was so busy I didn’t have time for God, and so rich I didn’t need Him. God had to slow me down
and take my success away so that He could talk to me about the home beyond the river."
The year of Jubilee Biblically is a year when all things are put back in order, land is given back, money paid back etc, etc. I think that this is
very telling of our times, especially this year with all the banking scandals coming out.
What are your thoughts on this? Anthing else you can add to this?
