Yeah. It means that if any audit actually happens, everything will balance, foot, and tie up nice and tight. What else could happen?

Do you really...REALLY....think that more government auditing of the Fed is going to show anything up??

And do you seriously think that RP thinks it will??

Really??????

Dollar to a doughnut it sits there in committee until after the election...

Amazes me they call the Republican dominated house "do nothing" while the Democrat controlled Senate has yet to even pass a budget since Barry took office.

Of course it will. Silly question, actually.

If they have nothing to hide, they wouldn't mind. They are worried about "political influence" which means they're worried about people getting pissed and demanding congress act.

Very easy read. Not sure how you missed it!

This is good news, BUT, knowing the audit biz VERY well....an organization that complex would be a nightmare....and....Managment (the Fed), would hold all the cards.

Its like auditing Santa Claus. If you accuse Santa of overstating his inventory:

1) What is the recourse?
2) He WILL find a way to tell me that I don't understand the transaction (it's all in the WIP / Elf accounting)
3) He can always make more toys at almost 0 cost....

So, DEFINITELY a step in the right direction -- but lets not get our hopes up!

That doesn't really answer my question & is a bit of waffle really - think about it a bit.

The presumption around here is that there IS something to hide - that the Fed is crooked and/or working as part of the NWO, etc.

And if that is true then you'd expect the govt to be just as crooked wouldn't you? Again that is the common presumption around here.

So making a few noises about the government doing more auditing of its own compliicity is not going to reveal that complicity.

So rejoicing that the government is going to audit the Fed a bit more is like congratulating yourself on hiring a wolf to kick the foxes out of the chicken coop.

Since Congress created the Federal Reserve, doesn't this raise the question as to why Congress has to 99 years after creating that agency pass legislation allowing them to audit that agency? Congress created the charter that allows for the Federal Reserves existence and Congress has the authority to revoke that charter. The question is, then, why does Congress need to pass a bill allowing them to run an audit? Smoke and mirrors? Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain and just do what the Great and Powerful Oz tells you to do.

Sen Reid is now saying that the bill 'won't even make it to a vote on the senate floor'. Funny how easily politicians can change their minds (values and convictions) over the years:

People don't get much more hypocritical than that, folks.

Apparently one senator (majority leader) has the power to 'vote' for the other 99 on any piece of legislation (one that has already been passed by our elected representatives) he wants. Helluva constitutional republic we've got going here, eh?

They all belong to the party that supposedly hates rich bankers. But whoops I guess they love rich bankers after all. Some of these clowns are actually supposed to be ultra 'liberal', real supporters of the 'people'. Guys like that moral genius Olver from central MA.

Please take note of these traitors for the next election cycle.

It would just be a show trial to appease the people. With little to nothing resulting from it. Other than the people having there belief in a fair and just g-v renewed. Basically it would be a Lenonist, soviet, communist show trial. It's trickery that's it.
