I watched all 3 of them and they were all fantastic films.

For me the second film - The Dark Knight - was the best.

Heath Ledger
Source
As the Joker

Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker was nothing short of genious. I'm not much of a movie addict but I have the dvd and I must have watched it half a dozen times now just to watch this man perform as the joker.

Not sure I've seen that but the Dark Night Rises introduced Robin and kinda left it open as to whether Batman survived so we might see a new Bat Man and Robin film.

I think The Dark Knight was the best.

That was a TERRIBLE movie. My personal favorite is the original "Tim Burton" film.. But "Nolans", Dark Knight.. With Ledger is a close second.

As for Batman and Robin, And Batman Forever.. Those 2 films single handily destroyed the Batman Film franchise for years.. Thank God Nolan revived it..

I saw a few older Batman films growing up, like Batman Returns and enjoyed them. If you're talking in regards to the recent 3 Batman movies, they were all dragging and not worth anyone's time.

I'll be honest and say I haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises, but judging from the 2 prior to it, and opinions from people other than DIE HARD Batman fans, it was boring as well.

Each to his own

I wouldn't consider myself a DIE HARD Batman fan, but of all the awfull films I've seen in recent years these three tower above them all. imo.

Dark Knight, definitely.

I was kind of meh on Batman Begins and as a kid I had watched Batman: The Animated Series and the awful Val Kilmer and George Clooney movies. So, I guess I was kind of a residual Batman fan, but I saw Dark Knight and was blown away. It's so dense, the action is great, Ledger is great. After I saw that, I started checking out Batman comics and now I'm a pretty big fan. I've even come to like Batman Begins much more.

I can understand why people don't like Nolan's Batman movies. They're all very long, which if you just want action and/or a superhero movie that's not a big selling point. But, Nolan is an incredible director, he's going to make the movie he wants to make the way he wants to make. It still amazes me that the same man who directed Memento and The Prestige made these Batman movies.

I also like that Dark Knight puts more of an emphasis on a forgotten aspect of the Batman character: that he's a detective. There's not a ton of it, but he's doing some investigating. Oh, and, of course, I love Michael Caine as Alfred.

I'd say:
Dark Knight
Dark Knight Rises
Batman Begins
Tim Burton's Batman

I would have said Batman directed by Tim Burton, with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson ... but the Christopher Nolan series is probably better, I like the "darker" overtones. Looking forward to seeing how Superman turns out...

Not seen Rises yet, but I love Begins and TDK, I actually really like Bale as Batman, he has that dark edge to him naturally.

I also like Keatons performances as Batman, but Forever was meh and B & R was # yourself terrible.

Me too. I am not a really big fan of any of the Superman movies so far but Man of Steel looks intense.
