The landmark buildings that never were

Hello Everyone,

I have always been fascinated by buildings and architecture and I found this an interesting read,Link here.

I wonder how many worldwide never made it! And what they were?

My favourite 2 buildings ever done would have to be Crystal Palace by Joseph Paxton of London and the unfinished Sagrada Familliaby Antonio Gaudi Of Barcelona.

My personal favorite is Frank Lloyd Wright's plans for a one mile high skyscraper that he named "The Illinois" which would have had 528 floors.

Those are 2 buildings i would have liked to see completed, where are our monuments?? We have none, no modern megalithic monuments

I would have loved to have seen the Palace of Soviets complete, it looks amazing, and your right I can’t really think of any modern megalithic monuments. We have none.

Yeah now that’s what I’m talking about, I don’t know how long booze town would have lasted tho, would have ended up a slum riddled with crime!
My favourites after reading them all must be Dongtan, Triton City and Seward’s Success being my favorite.
