Christmas Day Unknown Man Photo(updated version)

Creepy. And I'll see in the morning if I can find you guys a picture of those pans on two Christmassy ago. The only problem is I will have no credibility doing something like that so you guys will have to take my word for it. I know we took pictures of it when it happened, or rather my parents did. Dad was home that Christmas, and since it happened at 3 am I was sleeping.

I live in Carrollton georgia, I don't think civil war events happened here other than Sherman maybe? There were a lot of Cherokees here at one time though.

To be honest I'm getting a little creeped out thinking about this lol it's night time right now. The house itself isn't old but possibly it was built on some interesting land. We are the first people to live in this home. He slightly resembles my mothers dad, who was tall, but not that tall! He committed suicide when she was 9.

Don't let it creep you out. If it was going to hurt you, it would have by now. Probably looking over you guys.

I don't think the guy is abnormally tall thou, I think it's the perspective of the camera being so close to the ground.

Do you have a smartphone or tablet? Download ghost radar....people have had interesting results with it, and other software. There is a thread about it, search ghost radar.

It could be just the way the lighting is, because i can see a faint out line of what would be his beard. so i dont think there is anything missing there. But i could very well be wrong.

To the OP:

Im not saying this is fake, because i agree you wouldnt waste your time on someone you knew was there.
What i would do is try to research the history of your home, see what past it has. 'He' could still have something in the house that means the world to him, and wont be able to 'pass on to the other side' (so to speak) without it.

If he has not done any harm to anyone in the household so far, then im sure you shouldnt have anything to worry about, but that doesnt mean stop researching.

Alright I will. I hope to not get too side tracked here, but my mother woke up about a month later with an Indian staring at her, and she said there was another man there too, but she saw the Indian first and couldn't get her eyes off him, and when she looked at the other man they disappeared. That's the first and last time she's seen beings there for so long, although she has seen them briefly before.

I appreciate those of you who have helped me out with this and that didn't dismiss it.

I'm now an expert on your towns history lol. Did some reading, no real civil war battles happened however there is a history of battles with Indians, as well as horse clans.

I'm sticking to this guy being involved in the 1800's....nothing more than a hunch.

You should yourself try snapping photos. You never know what you might find.

ghost can sometimes only appear on camera but that clear is a first
and wanted you to see him clear has day looking at the left room
his clothes looks modern and no big beard or mustache with short dark hair
does he look familiar to you or maybe to someone who knew old owners
did someone died in your house ?

You keep mentioning how tall the man is. To me he looks to be of a fairly average height. I think maybe the angle is throwing you off a bit. Keep in mind the photo is taken roughly from the perspective of the little boy, and I think the man is closer to the camera than what you're thinking. Like he's somewhere between the blue gift bag and where the foyer opens up, so he's not looking at the picture on the wall, he's closer to the camera than that. Maybe looking down the hallway(?), like CloseEncounter suggested.

Also, just throwing it out there: To me it looks like the man has his head tilted downward similarly to the way your nephew does, almost like mirroring him, focused on what's right in front of him.

You also mentioned you cropped the original photo. Could you upload the original, un-cropped version?

There could be a number of reasons for this. the land your house is on couldve been a indian burial ground, a sacred piece of land, etc. as the appalachian mountians were the homes to many native american tribes. (Can you describe what the indian was wearing? traditional clothing or the average joe clothing?)

Another possibility, your mom might even have a 'spirit' guide. and the indian could have been 'fending' off the man, or vica versa. If this is what has happened there, then i suggest your mom try to get any signs (if any) they are trying to send across, and they usually dont appear for no reason at all.

Alright. My mom has the gift of these things no one else in my family does/wants it. I get to scared to see that stuff. He was wearing traditional clothing if I remember her correctly.

You've given no reason for us to believe its extra dimensional or an ET. Why are you hung up on that? It's clearly human. And ghosts ARE extra dimensional.

I would suggest that you had a priest stop by for a visit.

Look at his neck, very collar-like.
Tucked in shirt, same kind of black apparel some priest would have on.

Not saying this isn't a multi-dimensional priest though.

There is something not right about that "man's" head...it is way to small for his body.

Now the reason I put "man" in quotes is because I'm not sure that is what we are looking at...could be...but not sure.

Couple questions.

1. Is there a wreath hanging in that half circle window above the door?

2. Do you have other pictures of that morning with the door in the picture?


I'm thinking it may be one of those illusions where a couple random images are being looked at together to make out the image of a person, when actually it is nothing more than an optical illusion.

Quite possibly! We don't attend church but that still might be a good idea. At the same time he hasn't done any noticeable harm, having stuff like this happen is kinda fun

Just wanted to mention something about this, i've had a lot of free time and have been delving a little deeper than i normally would and the possibility of "contact" from the spirit world should not be taken lightly. The old saying that vampires need an invitation to enter, they can trick or trance you into giving it but it must be given, should be kept in mind. In the old world ancient magicians and conjurers went into their spells with their "wits firmly about them" because you never know what you might be dealing with. You should get at least a gut instinct, seeing as you've been there a long time and no events seem hostile its unlikely your dealing with something malevolent but you never know.
