Portland State University recently conducted a
study on Caffeine pollution
within the aquatic habitats around Oregon.
It was discovered that lethal levels of caffeine were present in aquatic life, possibly linked to basic waste disposal due to it not being
concentrated near water treatment plant outlets-as estrogen is from various hormonal treatments.
In my opinion it is reasonable to say Caffeine is changing humanity in small ways; potentially not limited to heart and prostate issues. However,
coupled with
Dead spots the size of Texas and over fishing. It
is possible that the Ocean will not be able to support the Human population before long.
Might be time to develop or invest in on shore fisheries to relieve at least part of the burden from the ecology.
