This new article along with all of the other recent articles regarding Syria and Iran are truly bothersome. This statement will make TPTB all the more anxious to attack Syria. Although it should make them more hesitant they will just use this as a "reason" because they will explain it as a threat from Assad. The next month(s) should be very interesting to say the least.

Yes, but using chemical or nuclear weapons is un ethical and should never be used as a last resort, why kill thousands and millions of people. And thus, by using those terms cause's great danger for your country possibly totall destruction, or just beat pretty bad. I don't agree on any country for that matter in this advanced technology world, to EVER use Chemical or Nuclear devices on any human being, It's unhumane. That idiot that found Nuclear energy and Uranium should be hanged, As their isn't any way to dispose Nuclear waste, and to make weapons out of it to kill people..

when faced with annihilation you leave them no choice. They are cornered what do you expect. The USA was not cornered and used nuclear weapons and have continued to do nuclear tests and I am pretty sure there is still bio weapon research. I am not just picking on the USA, russia china a india have experimented with nuclear weapons with disregard of the consequences.. If those weapons should not be used then why do they exist in so many arsenals???

Because they are meant to be used when you are faced with a situation like syria is facing. Even just the threat of them being used will make the aggressors weigh out if the consequences for attacking them is worth it. It is a last ditch card.

I am not disagreeing with you on your stance. I am just looking at it realistically. Those weapons should not be used yet they sit in the arsenal of so many countries. If the USA was faced with a similar situation a threat of nuclear weapons being used would be on the fore front. How many people have not off the cuff in various posts on this site and many others state that if any country screws with us just nuke them. It is a natural response to go down swinging.

Exactly, but no country should have any nuclear weapons..It shouldn't matter which country it is that is against the wall, No reason to take out millions just cause you screwed up.. Why should innocent people suffer for stupidity of man kind. Yes, these countries everyday make and find new chemicals and nuclear weapons to kill people..Why do they exist you ask? Because man has become to fkin arrogant, and everyone wants to be a "superpower" and mostly for Natural Resources, the same kind that power your car and home. So they build these things so they can just go threaten any country they want, and take what they want because of having this arsenal, they think no body is going to want to touch them..Than you can ask your self, how far are they going to go, when will they stop? Till everyone is dead, or just nothing left on this planet, cause stupid people can't get along.. Or just one country wants to colonize the rest of the planet..

we need to back off. Enough is enough. Some one with the testicular fortitude enough to be the voice of reason, whose voice matters, needs to rethink our foreign policy. This is yet another artificial tension created that is placing our country and the world behind it into greater despair and decline.

Not all victories are won by defeating the enemy. True victory comes from avoiding defeat better then he.

We are too aggressive and push our weight so much it becomes measured and predictable. We cant overhaul a single state, the country, but we can pretend to be at war for ever. This cant be done without first making the general public suffer more under unbearable financial constraints while knowing all their efforts only go to security made necessary because of proliferating warfare. World warfare directly affects every countries economy. We are digging trenches in unadaptive relations with other countries and filling them as graves with our legacy to the future of our people.
