Where are the White Gods?

Sorry but.....Is this offensive?

My question is why have all of these "Whites' adopted the "Coloured/Ethnic" Gods? Where are the White Gods?

or this?

Of course there are many more "Newly Self Appointed White Countries", like America, Australia, South Africa and so on.

This thread just points out the facts that all major religions have an Ethnic origin.

I would love to see some portraits of Jesus with Dark Hair, Dark Eyes and a Big Jewish Hook Nose - The Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes and Narrow Nose portrait that we often see is a Denial of his Origins.

I think it depends on your definition of "god". Some can say that god is money, so god would be green. Some could say they are the ones who make man made laws, then you could look at the government, or the president, who happens to be black (or whatever some think), as many government officials that make the rules are mostly white.

I say it doesn't matter what color god is, everyone should just be concerned with their own accountability, and being kind.

People in Europe of the past seem to have been adaptable to understanding that gods/goddesses are reflections of other's by different names.

I call the thunder god X and you call it Y.

Celtic pantheons, Gaulic pantheons (highly influenced by Romans), Norse/sub-Norse pantheons all have overlap with ancient Hindu pantheon.

So for example, you can find many versions of Apollo all over Europe. Each Apollo had two names to associate the local variation with the Greek/Roman version.

European pantheons were subsumed or replaced.

How is this a total fail. For example some Christian Services are done in cars, that's right, just like a drive in movie.

I'm on a laptop surfing the web so obviously I'm not against technology, but eating a burger in your car and listening to a service is an insult to the creator.

My apologies OP. No offense intended. "Total fail" was a rude way of putting it. My point was, the impression I got from your OP was completely different than what you said a few posts down was your actual point.

Those who are deeply religious Bush/Romney/Obama and so on, prey on peoples faith to push their agendas.

And yes, technology has become akin to worshiping a god. A god that, in the end, will fail us all.

I disagree, (although the only person who knows that for sure is he OP) However, we cannot and must not label everything that focus' on the traditions and culture of the "white" tribe of people as racist. It 's not. Everyone in the world is encouranged to look after their traditions, songs stories and heros. We are expected to learn about others and forget our own.

Just for the record I am an Indigenous Australian and I subscribe to no Organized Religion (Although I do believe in a Master Creator)

I attended a Catholic Boarding School in the 70s and didn't fear Hell or Purgatory. I mostly feared the Brutal and Dehumanizing Punishments for the most trivial mistakes. Good ole fashion floggings I tell ya!

Here is a Dreamtime Story

In the Dreamtime all earth lay sleeping. Nothing moved. Nothing grew. One day the Rainbow Serpent awoke from her slumber and came out from under the ground.

The frogs came out slow because their bellies were heavy with water, which they had stored in their sleep. The Rainbow serpent tickled their stomachs and when the frogs laughed, water ran all over the earth to fill the tracks of the Rainbow serpents’ wanderings. This is how lakes and rivers were formed.

With water, grass and trees sprang up. Also all animals awoke and followed the rainbow serpent across the land. They were happy on earth and each lived and gathered food with his own tribe. Some animals live in rocks, others on the plains and others in trees and in the air.

The Rainbow Serpent made laws that they all were to obey, but some became quarrelsome and made trouble. The Rainbow Serpent said,” Those who keep my laws will be rewarded; I shall give them human form. Those who break my laws will be punished and turned to stone, never to walk the earth again.

The lawbreakers became stone and turned to mountains and hills, but those who kept the laws were turned into human form. The Rainbow Serpent gave each of them their own totem of the animal, bird or reptile from whence they came. The tribes knew themselves by their totems. Kangaroo, emu, carpet snake, and many, many more. So no one would starve, the Rainbow Serpent ruled that no man should eat of his totem, but only of other totems. This way there was food for everyone.

The tribes lived together on the land given to them by the Rainbow Serpent or Mother of Life and knew the land would always be theirs, and no one should ever take it from them.

Good Point! I believe the Mayans call them "Our White Sky Brothers" or something like that. But it is not one of the main religions of today.

Hindu gods, don't have colour, people back in the days of Hinduism never discriminated. Krishna one of the avatar of Vishnu(preserver) is blue, as well as Shiva(destroyer) is blue as well. Don't forget the elephant god Ganesh, and Brahma(creator) has 4 heads.

Then again, Hinduism was not a religion its a life philosophy, with personified nature, which evolved into gods when abrahmic religions started emerging.

I really like this production, it should have millions of hits.

I don't think it is about Atheism, just freedom of choice.

All those "white gods" of Celtic, Anglo/Saxon, Norse, and Germanic traditions were essentially considered pagan and heathen by the Christians like any other tradition. So they destroyed their places of worship, and built their own stuff on top of it. Oh and don't forget the Greco-Roman pantheon.

It's a shame really. They have some nice stories.

with all the hype about 2012,seems a lot of people still worship him,or at least some sort of idea of him.
i'm of scottish descent,and i do follow the celtic faith.
my 'white' gods and goddesses are still with me, the tuatha de dannan are acknowledged every day!

Well firstly, I'm not sure if I fall under your white category- half mongrelised Aussie blood (Celtic/Anglo) and half Maltese which is comprised of *deep breath* Lebanese (original settlers), Italian, Spanish, Tunisian mainly as well as In some blood lines splashes of Greek and French as well. I also speak a decent portion of the language which is Europes only official Semitic language (north African dialect of Arabic mixed with a few Italian words and rare examples of Hebrew) so really, on that side of me a portion of language and blood goes back to Africa.

It's hard for me to define myself as anyone race as I'm one big mix of a lot of different blood so what am I? I'm me oliveish skin when it gets the sun although you wouldn't consider me to be dark, dark curly hair and..bright blue eyes. If my appearance doesn't overly reflect my blood does that change what I'm classed as? I often get mistaken as being Balkan, completely white orrrr as has happened in not just one isolated incident, a lot of Africans have without my telling asked 'you're Maltese?'

Secondly, you have no idea as to my faith and I assure you, I'm not a Christian, nor do your American leaders bear any influence whatsoever on me.

A) I was enquiring as to the OP's definition of white...depending on who you ask, the definition often varies and I wanted to establish the OP's definition of white.

B) isn't there a Nibiru thread you shoul be keeping an eye on?

Nowadays Gods are demoted to saints and gurus and shamans and psychics.
