Tonight I was watching a rerun of a Nancy Grace show and the subject was about a Grandmother who killed her grandson. A 911 call recording was played; the grandson called 911 and said he had just been shot by his grandmother; and while he was on the phone trying to get help; she shot him again. She bought the gun about 1 month before the shooting. He was staying with her to finish the school year; because his parents had recently moved to another state. His parents thought he would be safe there.

This story is very disturbing to me; as I am sure it is to you all too.

Here is the link: www.cbsnews.com...

I am just wondering; what family secrets are not being told. What do you all think?

I find Nancy Grace generally disturbing, period.

I don't know about this one. She shot the kid 8 times, clearly something brought her over the edge to commit the crime. Looks like she had enough. Who are the guns registered to? They had quite the collection.

9 mm handgun, a magazine and speed loader for a magazine on a tray

Sorry, I don't think that's the grandmother's gun.

Why would she need a speed loader? Sounds more like a kid who gets a speed loader for a gun.

I don't think this kid is innocent.

The "speed loader" is more than likely the little plastic loader that comes with the purchase of the firearm. I got one with my G19 that is still in the original box. It would be useful for an elderly woman to load the mag since the new mag spring is really tight.

The grandmother needs to be checked for dementia.

Would you please provide the link to the website you got this information from. I cannot so far find out who the gun was registered to...or if it was registered at all.

Nancy Grace is unusual that is for sure. Why do you find her disturbing?

I don't know either, I was asking you. They said that was the firearm in the house. I'm just curious who was the one who owned the gun? Grandmother, Child or grandfather? Be helpful if they added that little snippet.

My initial thought too. Every Glock I've purchased has come with a 'speedloader'. I usually associate the term speedloader with a revolver though.

Sad story and I hate listening to that kind of thing so I'm not going to. Strange that audio affects me sometimes more than video...why are so many people killing the ones they love? Eeeesh.

I didn't know that.

I don't own a gun.

I thought speedloader, was like something that modified the gun to shoot at the target faster.

I have noticed that too in the last few months...a lot of family killing family crimes. Makes me wonder...who can we really trust anymore.

as domo and janon have correctly pointed out, the speedloader comes with every new glock.( i cant speak for other manufacturers b/c i only buy glock). it is just a small piece of plastic to make loading your magazine easier. believe it or not when the mag springs are new and tight it can be frustrating to get 13th,14th, or 15th round into the magazine. it also can make your thumbs very tender. while I do respect you for admitting that you didn't know, i wish people who don't know what they are talking about would just not speak on the subject. especially when it comes to firearms. as a country we are very close to losing 2nd ammendment rights and this treasonous movement is spearheaded by people who know nothing about guns. por exemplo: did you know every glock has 3 safeties? i bet you didn't. gangstas don't celebrate glocks because they're dangerous. they celebrate glocks because they're the state of the art best. I know i'm coming of as a d--ck. and this is nothing against you, manhater. i'm just sick of worrying about my family's God given right to defend ourselves being taken away by people who don't know the whole story. people have always feared what they don't understand and when people speak about what they don't understand it only propagates the fear. okay rant's over. i feel better. thanks for letting me vent.

My initial thought was "she needs to be checked for Alzheimer's". I get grandkids can act up and be threatening-But shooting the kid 8 freaking times? This isn't simply self defense, lady either went nuts or she wanted his ass dead

WTMF is wrong with people? I mean JFC.....

Can we shoot her? Can't we just take granny out back and put her out of her misery? There was no need for her to do this...its senseless.....

Strap her @!#%$* to her hovaround and unload the violence on her 10 fold.

I cant stand stuff like this....its disheartening. I don't care about much and very few things in this world makes me angry...but this and other crimes against kids especially small ones makes me very very angry.

I work with dementia patients so I see outrageous and disturbing behavour on a daily basis. I've been slapped, scratched, punched, kicked, bitten, threatened my life by the sweetest little old ladies you can imagine then told by the same people that they love me not even 5 seconds later. It's sad to watch them slowly dying. If the Grandma does have some form of dementia that could explain it. If so it's not her fault and she needs to be committed not killed. Her brain is dying.

So so sad but I don't know whats scarier a drugged teen or a scared shiless grandmother?Anyway you look at it it's really a sad situation. What I don't get is why the parents thought it was a good idea to leave him there? They had to have had a clue as to the situation.

I surprised we don't hear of this more, crazy world we live in
