Every time I see one of the others on tv, I just see our country going to the highest bidder.

Me too.

Unless I write in my own name.

And that, combined with the folks that are just planning not to vote, combined with the Democrats running trolleys and busses to their constituents and making sure everyone votes, equals a double-digit Obama win.

I'm doing it anyway, because I am voting my conscience, not playing party politics, but I do so knowing that it means an Obama victory.

I hesitate to agree. The reason I hesitate is that we still have a few months. A lot can happen in that time. I hope you're right. But I wouldn't place a bet.
And no, I have no idea how to make a bet on the election.

Wait.

I just re-read that. You "hope" I'm right? You can't be excited about an Obama victory can you? I mean, I'm prepared for an Obama victory, and I don't support Romney, but I'm certainly not hoping for Obama. I'm hoping for a miracle! A Ron Paul miracle, or a meteor to strike DC, or Jesus to return, or SOMETHING other than Robamney.

Ron Paul should just use some of that campaign money and set up a tailgate party in the parking lot and do his speech anyway.

Would probably draw a larger crowd than the convention.

Right and many of those individuals will vote Paul at the convention. This why they will not want a secret ballot.

Sorry to disappoint.
I'm not excited about ANY politician. I don't know of anyone in the political world that I would happily choose to preside over this country. But I do wish to avoid the alternative.

Here's a short explanation:
As I said in another thread, I will vote. For the "lesser of the two evils". Another 4 years of Obama will likely be as uncomfortable as being hung upside-down by your ankles. But 4 years of Romney would be as uncomfortable as being hung upside-down by your ankles, over a pile of rotting human remains.

ONE of these things is going to happen. Paul is NOT going to win, no matter what. and I don't support him, anyway. It's absolutely every voters' right to do whatever they want with their voice, but if they don't vote to avoid the human remains, they are taking a big chance, IMO.

HA! Too late. I gave up on him back in 2008. I didn't like him then, and I don't like him now.

I totally agree. The country is in a Maury/Springer/Jersey Shore attitude.
Fat .. Loud .. Uneducated ... and sucking off anyone who will give them free $$$
That's what the USA is evolving (or de-evolving) into. It's really very sad.

Yep. As much as I'd rather have him than Obama or Romney .. it's not going to happen. And he's probably too old for the rigors of the office anyways. Voting for Ron Paul means that you are really voting for the VP .. because I don't think he'd make it through the four years of hell that the Oval Office brings.

My plan .. either not vote at all (because I can't really see any difference between obama and romney) or perhaps vote Libertarian. The Liberatarian candidate isn't qualified to run the US military (neither is Obama or Romney) but at least a Libertarian administration would be wanting to go in a direction that I agree with.

The DailyPaul claims Paul meets the the five-state rule????

Back in late April/early May, Carl Cameron admitted that Paul qualified for nomination:

Of course, MSM wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face! However, other reliable sources confirm that Paul has qualified...
