The Green Party??? Really??? Good luck with that one, if she gets 10 votes I'd be shocked.... At least she got the feminists vote, if that counts for anything....

Um...I was talking about the RNC convention and their set up progress because I know many people going and they offered me to work there! However, I cannot afford the plane ride down there. It wouldn't be worth my time because you only make $10 per hour if you are on staff, that would not pay for the plane ride from NJ to Tampa and back again.

But yeah. I follow politics very closely and not just politics that has to do with my candidate of choice, like some of you apparently do, and you have no clue what the rest of the political world is doing or why. But please continue to make this personal!

Because the voting systems that we will be using in the near future will all be outsourced to a multinational global corporation out of Spain. They have such a magnificent and secure system that they don't even need to bother with paper trials or other forms of audits.

You really are kind of amusing in your own "special" way. You are not so much a Romney supporter (who is?) as you just hate Ron Paul - perhaps you're just some kind of big-government control freak that hates what he stands for.

It just bothers you to no end that Ron Paul is about more than just a man running for an elected office. For the kind of world you appear to favor you have every reason to fear and loathe the revolutionary ideas of liberty and freedom, of honesty and integrity without compromise, of self-responsibility and independence, of neighbors being neighbors with tolerance and acceptance for the diversity among them. I imagine you have every reason to "hate" the human embodiment of the man who puts forth these ideals and lives up to them in every way humanly possible, and for his "crazy" supporters that think this is all a good idea.

The thought of Ron Paul drives you to your silly antics by knowing that even if you defeat the candidate to the elected office that his ideals have taken root in the hearts and minds of not just Americans but has won the admiration and respect of people worldwide. Ron Paul just kind of ruins your whole day, doesn't he?

Actually its comments like this from supporters like you that really tick me off about Ron Paul. I really, do not mind the man himself, besides for being a bit nutty, I don't care much if at all what he does or doesn't do. It's his stupid supporters that get on my nerves and if you notice, in my blog which are all threads I have started about Ron Paul on this site, its targeting his stupid supporters.

Ron Paul even called his supporters a little bit too passionate and he enjoys all the attention they give him

Narcissism at its finest.

Big Government you say? I hate it! Political Corruption? I hate it! But your not going to find me at Paul fest hoping a candidate wins that the people don't want, the party doesn't want, the media doesn't want, and congress doesn't want!!!!

Well of course, because you will only support a candidate that the party, the media, and congress want.

Just like I stated - It's not so much the man but his ideas that tick you off. It is the fact that those ideals have touched the hearts and minds of people throughout the world.

Of course the controlled media doesn't want it. Of course the bought Congress doesn't want it. Of course the owned party doesn't want it. The herded people don't thnk they want it because they've been taught to despise freedom, because they have been conditioned to distrust their neighbors, to make war with any of them that don't buy the same brand of breakfast cereal or other things just as unimportant. More and more people are breaking away from that herd mentality and starting to realize the conditioning they've been subjected to and now think for themselves. What is this world coming to?

And those people are all nuts. I think I've had maybe one good conversation with a ron paul supporter (a friend of mine in college) who saw my side without accusing me of liking big government and corruption. In order to form a dialogue, in order for government to work, you need to work together with other people, like me, who may have other ideas about how to run this country! I hate corruption, but I hate ideology as well! I don't like people who goes on the offensive whenever their worldview is challenged.

You think that all people believe everything you do! This is simply not true. Ron Paul is no longer in the national conversation. Ask anybody offline, who Ron Paul is and they likely won't know.

Well that's why people need to FIGHT for other parties instead of having this defeatist attitude of "Well only Dems and Repubs can win." That's such apathetic b.s.

Well, do you have 10 billion dollars to send him and make this third party a reality? No, neither do I, and the powers that be are pleased about that.

"Should be" and "are" are about a million miles apart, or $10B apart. It sucks, but there you have it.

Personally I think Ethos and Zeitgeist; Moving Forward should be shown to all school children, but that won't happen either.

The convention isn't a coronation, it's a contest to decide the candidate for the Party holding the convention. So before you go saying that the convention is being held in any one man's honor, you should keep in mind that Romney isn't the only person running for the Republican Presidential Nomination.

Ron Paul is solidly in your conversation. He is in your current signature, in your past signatures, his photo was your avatar for a number of months. If he is so insignificant then why converse with people about him anyway? Just ignore him then, and after the elections he and his supporters will fade away. Tell me you cannot avoid talking about him because everyone keeps talking to you about Paul then that kind of defeats your argument about nobody wanting him. The corrupt powers and protected interests sure don't want him.

If you have grand ideas about how to run the country then let us hear about them. Surely threads about your political ideas would be more productive than merely snivelling about Paul. Perhaps in your mind eliminating Ron Paul would make the world a better place, but is that the only great political idea you have? It is all you seem to talk about.

I know freedom and liberty, honesty and integrity, responsibility and independence, tolerance and acceptance are all tough ideas to accept but for many of us the distasteful ideologies of subservience and submission, over-bearing authority and stripping away of personal privacy are slavery pure and simple. Your authoritarian ideologies are very 19th century and just do not have a place in the modern world.

You may have a brilliant political career ahead for yourself, but first you will have to convince someone and you are not doing that right now. You will have to change your rhetoric because merely despising Ron Paul will get you nowhere if that is the only plank on your platform. Sorry to have to break that to you.

It's not all I talk about on this website. Whenever I make a thread about Romney or Obama or the left wing media, people say who cares there's no such thing as the left/right paradigm, Romney and Obama are the same.... So the stuff I want to talk about gets shut up by you guys who only want to talk about Ron Paul. Can you see how that would make one mad? People laugh at my threads because they get so little stars and flags and it makes me sick that the fake Ron Paul threads like this one is the ones that are promoted and get the most stars and flags overall....

Tell me you cannot avoid talking about him because everyone keeps talking to you about Paul then that kind of defeats your argument about nobody wanting him. The corrupt powers and protected interests sure don't want him.

People who physically talk to me are mostly voting for Mitt Romney, and when I bring up Ron Paul they don't know who he is
Again, it's only on this site where you get threads like this one, "RNC Confirms Ron Paul will be up for Nomination." Then when I raise some very valid questions, you idiots laugh in my face and call me a troll. It's happened on every single Ron Paul thread I have ever commented on!!! It's also happened on the one positive Ron Paul thread I made...
My first post on this thread, was meant to raise questions and bring balance to a very questionable article. Nobody read my response or answered my questions. I raised concerns because it's false information, disinformation!!!!

It's like this site takes anything that is against the establishment at face value and believes in it no matter where it came from! If someone says it, and it aligns with your silly worldview, then its alright and shouldn't be allowed to be questioned.

So go ahead go back and look at the questions I raised. The source this article came from, and then go look at the RNC website or Ron Paul's campaign website, and tell me I am wrong!!!

I'll be waiting but you'll just likely come back with another snide comment disguised as a personal attack.

Yeah, getting laughed at and being called names is pretty low. Shame on us.

You question where our information comes from, only because you don't hear it in the mainstream news. Then the people you talk to, the Romney supporters, don't even know who Ron Paul is??!?? Wow. What news sources do they all use? Perhaps your mainstream news doesn't always give the whole story. Just a thought.

So go ahead go back and look at the questions I raised. The source this article came from, and then go look at the RNC website or Ron Paul's campaign website, and tell me I am wrong!!!

No, thanks. I'll let you do that yourself.

I don't do personal attacks. Some people are self-deprecating enough as is. No need to be snide. Ironic, perhaps.

Its all good that you like Jill Stein but if you're going to create scenarios about other candidate, that you back them up.

Paul isn't necessarily going there to win the nomination. He has stated to his supporters that this is a celebration for how far his message has come over the last 2 years. The icing on the cake is his 15 minute speaking time.

This is the Green Party platform.

The U.S. is obligated to render military assistance or service under U.N. command to enforce a U.N. Security Council resolution.

We seek the permanent repeal of the veto power enjoyed by the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.

So basically the Green Party wants to subjugate the US to the UN. We are forced to go along with what the U.N. says, can not veto it. These are the people you want in power? Really? An IQ of 85 should be enough to see how bad an idea this is.

Our government does not have the right to justify pre-emptive invasion of another country on the grounds that the other country harbors, trains, equips and funds a terrorist cell.

So now Iran doesn't need to hide it. They can fund terrorists, and hey if those terrorists happen to blow up the Statue of Liberty so be it. We just need to bend over and take it.

The U.S. must allow foreign teams to visit the U.S. for verification purposes at least annually.

So we aren't saying we will if Russia/China do it, we are going to just take away our sovereignty for nothing in return, more brilliance.

The U.S. is the largest arms seller and dealer in the world. We urge our government to prohibit all arms sales to foreign nations and likewise prohibit grants to impoverished and undemocratic nations unless the money is targeted on domestic, non-military needs. In addition, grants to other nations may not be used to release their own funds for military purposes.

Yes let's let them make military alliances with our enemies instead and rely on our enemies for their security. Do these people have any working brain cells?

That is a small sampling of how disastrous the Green Party and Jill Stein would be. Worse than Obama, and that is saying something. Just an FYI I despise both Democrat and Republican parties.
