"This Is What Democracy Looks Like "

Hello everyone

Today I came across a video that gave me the chills. The chills of how hursh reality is, the chills of how no one ever gets punished for these actions, the chills knowing that we as individuals we live so far away from each other, we dont know each other but yet we get to live the same situations! Also it gave me the chills of watching how cruel people can become and have no sense of "feelings" !!

I dont want to say more for now... the feelings you will feel while and after watching the video, I believe will be the same as mine!

Kind of like peering into a looking glass and viewing how much hate, violence and control the leaders of the world have over us. It's sad to think the same police officers who are doing the bidding of their political leaders, go home to a family that are facing the same day to day problems people of the world face everyday. Yet they beat the struggling citizen who is just trying to demand justice from their leaders and to ask to be treated fairly.

When you consider the small percentage of those in power who live a pampered life, who pollute our environment and make decisions on our very existence. Who continue to over tax hard working people, who continue to spend an enormous amount of our tax dollars on the military machine and ignore the needs of its own citizens, who continue to put a corporations needs before its citizens, it's pretty sad that we the people of the world continue to live our lives and accept the hardships they dish out.

You really think that this is Just propaganda? You call people being hit while holding a flower and protest about THEIR RIGHTS, a propaganda? If we were to discuss about the media then yes... their best weapon is propaganda! But not when we see repeatative situtations, with the same "actors" in the same "play", but in a different theater !

I wonder how would these "policemen" feel if they watched their own child being hit in live television!

I certainly do! That video had nothing to do with "Democracy". The only footage involved was of riots. You seem to think they only occur in "democratic" countries, why is that? Hell, if I were to post a video of Daniel Pearl's beheading and claimed "This Is What Islam Looks Like", my claim would have been much more accurate.

You missunderstood my intentions! I was not only targeting the democratic countries but the whole world in general. The specific video THIS WAS THE TITLE! So i used the same title as the video. My intentions were to show how stupid humans can become and result to such hursh images and hate! Almost all of these people - if not all of them, were protesting about their rights - freedom! And what do they get back? a bit down!

Lets not just see the outside of the box, but see what is really inside it! Open our eyes and see how the world is becoming, or rather how worse our world will become in the neat future! There are so many news from around the globe with such events! This is not propagadna as you so call it, but rather is the hursh reality that we dont want to accept!

Democracy, socialism, capitalism, dictatorship... It matters not which of these states a nation exists in. The fundamental problems of small numbers of people having power over the many remain precisely the same, the problems of those who prefer greed to honour are the same, the danger of those who would rather use fear and oppression to achieve a goal over peaceful debate are still exactly the same.

All that changes is how the talking heads speak, and the tools they use to crush rebel spirits. Here in the UK its the surveillance culture. In the states it is the all powerful corperations, in North Korea it is the insane spawn of a psychopaths loin, and his army of psycho-indoctrinated AK wielding yes men. The effect, althnough different in appearance, is cosmetic only, and fundamentally none of these systems work for the people.

That is why I advocate bringing in a system which allows the individual to vote on individual laws to be passed, choices made. Government BY the people, dictated only by thier will, and having not a care for lobbyists or the opinions of those who have no business meddling in our affairs (Bloody EU).

Definition of Democracy = 2 Rapists and a woman sitting around a table discussing consent laws. In a Constitutional Republic, the woman is armed and daring them to try. The word Democracy is not found one time in ANY of America's founding documents, and there is a good reason for it.

I remember that music from the older version of V, the 1983 series.
It featured mainly in the end credits though it was used in other parts of it like the beginning.

It must have been the first alien TV anything I ever watched and really scared me.
Now days I avoid such stuff.

But I'm not sure about the other half of it.
not playing so well for me, this so called broadband is no better than dial up!

Too bad people in America forgot we are actually a constitutional republic. Tell me, where in the constitution, bill of rights, or pledge of allegiance do you hear the word democracy? The fact is, it's not there. Our founding fathers hated that word. Thats why they called it a republic.

But seriously, it's just puppets clashing with the people. Unfortunately those who are really in command are well protected, both in terms of security and in secrecy. They view every single person in that video as a chess piece.

This was the most disturbing scene from the OP vid. They have the group mentality of rabid wolves.

it's amazing how many americans have no idea that we don't live in a democracy, and never have. we have something better, better than the mob rule of pure democracy.

V(the original alien tv series) is an allegory of Nazi germany, with scientists(of all kinds and fields) taking the place of jews, and the aliens being the nazi party. when you rewatch it knowing that, it brings the movie to a whole new level and you just are like: wow...

With regards to the video presented in the OP... just, WOW!...
I'm not sure human behaviour can be changed as I believe there is, and always will be, a bit of madness and some crazy primal instincts in all of us; I just wish we were all a bit smarter (and happier in our own skin) so as to not let people with bad intentions use us.
