Only part way into it, but this looks like someone took the audio from the very real Columbia disaster and other past NASA missions and decided to have some fun with CGI.

The video is an admitted cgi creation by a person by the name of The Faking Hoaxer (note the TFH in the upper left of the video.)

My opinion: This is rediculous.

If the shuttle was blown apart in orbit, the debris field would have been huge, maybe to the point of reaching across the entire US.

Also, it looks totally CG.

I think some people have far more free time on their hands than is good for any of us. The people in Texas that recovered most of the debris can probably kill that whole thing in a heartbeat if they chose to by simply comparing one or another of the larger pieces to damage patterns in the video...and how they don't match. I'll bet every volunteer who worked it and thought of it...has pictures. I'm also wondering how the debris would have come down in a rather tight and predictable field, given the altitude, if it was already in several pieces before dropping out of orbit.

Finally...The image that never leaves my mind of that accident and the coverage..and shoots this entirely...was the lonely Helmet they recovered and it wasn't a spare from a storage locker. It was empty...nothing ghoulish, and also no serious external damage of any note. It made it all the more powerful an image to remember while terribly..spooky..at the same time.

It wouldn't have been there in the middle of the debris field if the Shuttle had been blown to pieces in Orbit though, right?

I just find it utterly disturbing that people twist a historic event where people perished for a CGI thrill and Youtube view count.

A video I made to show how the Shuttle may look if it was destroyed in space. Filmed from the ISS or maybe another Shuttle. All made with real photo's of the Shuttle then I used Photoshop to make it look damaged and in pieces. Then I put it in space using After Effects.

The historic event I speak of was the loss of the space shuttle Columbia during re entry, nothing to do with this cgi vid.....That did happen, dont care what you skeptics say : )

I assumed it was fake from the beginning with the silly alien. I was just saying that I personally never knew there was a alien attack theory and that I think it is disrespectful to mock a historic sad event. I do believe in ufos, I do not believe they attack, I do not believe in Nibiru either.

I'm not certain of the history of this particular video, but they most certainly have taken what I remember as authentic audio from the Columbia disaster and spliced it in to the second part of the video.

It shows great disrespect for the astronauts who died in the disaster, their families and all the people who were working at NASA when this tragic accident happened.

Making this video was reprehensible, IMO.
If he wanted to make a video just too see what a shuttle would look like blown up in orbit, he could have just made it generic, with no shuttle name attached.
