Regardless of your post count and other "ATS" stuff at the bottom of your avatar, what speaks most loudly to me is the time you have here. If you've been around for 5+ years then I think you deserve a modicum of respect and trust over posters who are brand new or have like six months on the board.

That should, at least, be a part of ascertaining the "background" of a poster.

But be aware: when a certain (prolific) poster has gotten the attention of some "higher-ups" it's easy to "buy him out" i.e. offer him/her a sum he/ she cannot refuse.

Bottomline is, indeed, to be very careful with posts of freshmen, especially those that obviously registered for a specific -often politically inconvenient- topic.

There's software aplenty to scrounge the Web for key-words and sentences. The Intelligence branch uses those bots extensively.

It's against the ATS T&Cs to discuss specific members, so I won't take the bait you throw out. However, look in the particular forums and click on some user profiles and before long it will be quite apparent who they are.

On the money, seen some ppl who have most of the described mechanisms at work.

A VERY large part of why I do not post very much here anymore.

As I have been reading this topic....a Great Deal of assumption is being taken by those who...either on this topic or listing Psychological Templates that can be used to discover who is who.

I have found that most people who expound on Psychological Templates or those who have written them are...in my experience...COMPLETELY LACKING IN ANY ABILITY TO PROVIDE PROPER INFORMATION THAT CAN BE USED AS ANY GUIDE FOR THIS TOPICS DECLARED USE.

As I have said before...there is perhaps one or maybe two people on this board who may have the ability to detect either a Forum Spy or Dis-Info Agent. This issue is made even more difficult since this board has members who easily do the work of people in these fields for them.

This may perhaps be my own entrenched opinion but I believe I am correct. For those of you who know what I sometimes do in my THIRD JOB...I must tell you that any outside consultant of supposed Psychological Expertise is almost 99% of the time...WRONG...in their assessment on issues that although are slightly different in my experiences...seem to be making the same mistaken misconceptions about issues that are very similar and slightly interchangeable in many ways.

For a person to think they can use a specific template as is the case in other fields of Profiling such as is used with some success in identifying criminal elements for Police or FBI wanted individuals...are fooling themselves and others as it applies to this topic.

People of this topics related nature...are picked for the specific reasons that they cannot be identified using this style of Psychological Profiling. They are very different in nature and have a very different thought process than what is average. Split Infinity

I appreciate being called out.

For the most part, I lurk here and I lurked here for a very long time before I joined. I greatly enjoy reading all the intelligent posts about ancient civilizations and usually I feel like I have found individuals who I can actually relate to on here because, quite frankly, I've never really felt like I belonged anywhere. My thoughts are generally too "out there" for the sleeping public.

Lately, I feel like my contribution to any thread on here is the kiss of death to the thread. Trust me, I have no ill agenda for ATS or it's members. I am what I say I am. I have had a variety of life experiences and my life seems too crazy to be true sometimes, but all I am is a grocery store checker in small town America.

There might be automated screening going on according to key words but I doubt most of it ever comes to the attention of human beings. And I doubt this site is as high a priority as everyone fantasizes.

Having read the article i find it mildly amusing that any intel community of alphabet organizations would have to resort to this tactic....it means they are grasping for usually what isnt there.

Funny to say the least. I never met a forum spy that i couldn't discover over time for being what they are.
